WoT University Training For All!!

Introduction

Hello, My name is Sir Havoc, I am an Official WarGaming Community Contributor, I am really please to announce a new initiative at World of Tanks University where we can now offer training to you lovely people from outside of our community, even without you having to join our ranks. It is Called 'WoT University Training For All'.This is something that I have personally wanted to do for a long time but I did not want to start it until the time was right and we had the right resources to deliver some great training to you guys. Please read on....

A brief history

World of Tanks University was a single clan formed off of the back of my YT channel (click here and Subscribe for free to receive regular epic WoT Tutorials) This is primarily focused on coaching people to improve their game play of World of Tanks.

It was formed 18th Sept 2014 and has since turned into 10 WoT Clans over the EU servers (6 Clans), NA (3 Clans) and SEA (1 Clan). ALL of our clans run regular team games & training and thanks to the initiative of 7Steve, Thub and Seraph from H3voc Clan we have been hosting friendly 'scrims' with clans from outside of our community for the last 12 months.

WoT University Training For ALL

We have now been successfully training people from the World of Tanks Community for 2 years, those that apply themselves to what they have learnt have seen instant advancements in their game play and therefore their WN8 and Win Rate has shot up as a result. The more sessions you attend the more you learn, but attending isnt not enough, you have to be disciplined enough to take what you have learnt with you in game and use it.

The WoT University 'Training For All' program has now been running since December and we have trained over a 1000 people from outside of our community. It allows those people who are happy in their current clans to get a bit of extra help, it also functions as a support network to small and new clans who have not yet managed to get their own training programs underway, so they do not have to lose members.

Our Goal

Our goal is to provide FREE training on a daily basis to the EU, NA, and SEA servers for World of Tanks

Training will be on a first come first serve basis and we advise you to turn up nice and early to secure yourself a place.

Excellent initiative +1

I would take part myself but I can't do the times and no mic for TS, but full respect for undertaking such a large and well co-ordinated project.

Impressed by the content you intend to provide, and hopefully lots of people will benefit.

Thanks brother It is really appreciated, when i started my YT i wanted to make a difference to the WoT Community.. I was trolled heavy in the beginning because no one knew me but i persevered in a stubborn sort of way.

We have around 700 ACTIVE members in our community and we are always expanding, but a lot of my subscribers what to take part but are happy in the clans and communities they are in, this is where this idea came from. It has just taken this long to get to a position where we could confidently action it .

Thanks for the support man

I`ve been a member of this great community for two weeks now, and I can only say that they are great people with lots of knowledge and are always willing to teach you everything they know. They almost never shout at you doing smth wrong and very rarely call you names, They only hit you in the head with an open fist so it doesn't hurt that much. And they never forced me to write good stuff about them here, so I hope I will get my dog back now please.
And yes, they have great sense of humor too... I hope. :teethhappy:
Thank you Peter.

Jan was one of the originals, when i took him in he was homeless and malnutritioned but with support from WoT Uni he has now doubled his weight and found himself a blow-up girlfriend and his bendy legs are almost straight.

Great Work Jan he he he

I have had great fun and learned a lot since joining the Havoc X Community. I knew there wouldn't be many women around but that doesn't matter here as everyone has been soo friendly, kind and helpful and just treats me like another tanks player.

THANK YOU!!!

Greetings.

I've been part of H3VOC and the wider Wot Uni community for... errrr... *checks stack of empty port bottles next to desk*    around three months now. One of the things that attracted me to it (and kept me in it) is the general willingness to help and the focus on improving the standard of play. As well as the focus on having fun and making the wider WoT community less toxic by being chilled/funny/complimentary in chat. I've found the vast majority of members to be open, friendly and willing both to help and to learn.

Having participated in some of the training events offered in this community (and spoken to others who've attended more) I've been impressed with both the depth and the breadth of the options available.

One example of something I've seen here that I hadn't previously seen anywhere else: I was watching Sir Havoc run a training session for the NA guys and gals on his twitch stream. Two teams were duking it out while he spectated. Then he said "Everybody freeze". And everybody did. Well, everyone except the light tank who was sliding down a hill at the time and who received some good natured mockery as he struggled back up the hill to where he had been. Sir Havoc then bounced around the map chatting to people about their positions, their reasons for being there, the map situation etc. Listening as well as speaking, offering advice and occasionally getting tanks to re position to illustrate his points. All the while he did this everyone except those he was talking to at the time stayed quiet, listened and learned. Once he'd been all round the map he got everyone to pull back into cover a little then started the battle up again and off they went. As someone who's spent time both teaching and mentoring I don't have to look hard to see the value of such a style of practice battle. And this isn't the only style of practice or practical technique that has been developed or implemented in this community.

Which leads me on to another point. This is a community. If you decide to take advantage of this opportunity and the training offered then you gain access to a whole bunch of people who are volunteering their time and skills to help. We're not being forced to do this. We're not being paid to do this. We're doing this because we want to.

It's also quite likely that you will find friends and future platoonmates along the way.

One final point. While it is true that Sir Havoc is trying to make a living from his youtube and twitch endeavours, money isn't why he started this community and nor is the acquisition of money the reason for it's continuation. Greed isn't why this community is thriving and growing.

Passion is.

And part of this passion is for helping others, for improving the standard of gameplay across the board. For turning this game into our own personal Valhalla where we seek out the brightest and the best to face in combat because anything less is unworthy of our warrior spirits (okay that last one may just be me and the port :izmena:)

This seems like a great idea!

I would like to join but I doubt that this will really help me since I already consider myself as an experienced player.

Good luck to your community and to this project!:great:

Thanks for the support :)

Looking at your signature it does indeed seem like you've got a pretty good handle on how to play :teethhappy:

We do have friends and allies from different clans who come in to run training sessions and share their skills Sebastian Potachka (now sebastianpotato) of CIRC being one example. I suspect you'd be welcome if you wanted to come help out that way. Life has taught me that we always have a little more that we can learn, a little better that we can be. And teaching others what we have learned can sometimes be the way to that.

If not, have a good one nonetheless and thanks again for the support.

Good hunting :honoring:

When I arrived, I was lingering on about 750WN8 and was basically stuck - unable to increase this. But since becoming part of the community and taking part in training and team battles I have been able to improve my play and am about to break through 1300WN8!!!

This is down to a few things, mostly taking part in the training that is run in a simple back to basics manner with people who are all there because they want to learn. Those that aren't are quickly ejected (with extreme prejudice!) I've also been lucky enough to play strongholds and team battles under the command of Fiets. This guy is awesome.

In addition to that all, being part of such an active community with very little expectations in terms of skill or commitment means that its really easy to find and have fun platoon games with new people as well as grow friendships.

On that advice of Sir Havoc I've been documenting some of the hap-happenings my time in WoT-University through a YouTube series called "WoT-UNI Journal". Where I go through some of the things that I've been getting up to, putting training into practice and generally larking about!! It's probably worth a watch if someones considering joining the community or simply taking part in the activities that are put on!

PS: Whatever they tell you about me team damaging everyone I platoon with... its not true...

This is a really good idea, it will help alot of people esspically new players to the game, It will also be beneficall to people who need to brush upon skills (Me bing one of them...) within the game. This could lead to a nicer atmosphere in the game as a result.
