Hello everyone! :)

I really want to get my hands on the "old" T-54 MT, however, to research it  can choose between using the T-44 MT or the T-54 lightweight.

Which one do you think i should choose and why? This ofcourse depends from player to player. I like both mediums and lights, but  do indeed have a soft spot for lights.

-Greetings and stuff

I'd go with T44.

Use the T-44 as learning opportunity for T-54, because it's gameplay is more similiar to it's T9 brother. After finishing the grind, move the crew to T-54 and forget about T-44.

54lt is quite a different beast, due to much better mobility and much harsher matchmaking.

Personally, I've had played both T-54lt and T-44 at the same time, as I always planned to keep 54lt with it's crew.

T-54LT because is very good tier 8 LT which you can keep and is useful and generally preferred in other game modes than just random battles while T-44 is just a transition tank. After the last buffs T-44 may have an easier grind, specially when top tier, but is still pretty mediocre tank overall. While T-54LT is never top tier and thus matches are harder to manage is still more fun, also grinding might be faster because you gain more XP if you deal damage to higher tier tanks.

Basically T-44 for easier time during your grind, more suitable for beginners. And T-54LT difficult but faster grind which results in having a keeper suited for team based game modes, which most probably is more appealing for advanced players.

just be warned that the t-44 is an "old school" medium tank and whilst still capable has seen better days.  T44 does have slightly better weighting than the 54 lightweight but at "plenty of people on" times you will probably see the same mix of tiers (they both see tier 10).  Personally I'd go the lightweight route - the MT25 is a nice tanks and an easy grind, the LTTB is also a nice tank and functions well even in a tier 10 (Quite rare for a light tank, the LTTB will gladly play as a medium and has quite an angled turret on the quiet.) - again the grind is short withough too many upgrades.

T-43 doesn't need too much of a grind but the 44 will.  If you can cope with the utter glacial aim time and inaccuracy of the idiot gun then you can save a few k of grind but you will need the top gun really.

T43 or 44 wont be a keeper but the 54lwt will be (especially if you strongholds or CW).
