Played some games with this yesterday trying to get ace game so I could upload ace tanker vid to show how it plays.

Not so surprisingly failed on my task, mostly due the fact that when I got good game, the potatoes on team managed to lose them and because did not get courageous resistance, was left short on ace game.

While its not Rudy its decent tank when it gets into right map and match making. It actually has little better DPM, but when you get thrown into game with tier eights, the normal pen of 126 (vs Rudys 144) is just ridiculously low. The good thing is that unless you shoot clouds or ground, you can use gold ammo and still do some profits in these games. While talking about gun versus Rudy, it also has worse accuracy (0.40 vs 0.35) _and_ worse aim time (2.40 vs 2.11).

I would say that this tank is definitely not for stat padders and power gamers. Nor is it for those who are not perverted enough to sometimes  enjoy playing versus much more powerful opponents. This said, its still pretty nice tank for tank collectors and challenge seekers.

I won this tank through the Hidden Archives project when it was actually working and it is just average across the board. It is ok but it's very easy to forget about it. As a free tank, yeah not bad, but paying money for it is a bit of a push really.

It seems like it's a Russian tank which has been balanced by a non-Russian person :teethhappy: Or maybe the same person that balanced the FV 4202 (P)

I really would like to see the gun handling buffed on this thing, it's pretty terrible. Otherwise, it's a decent vehicle. Rudy is undeniably better though, unless you want to train a full T-34-85, A-43, A-44 or even T-34 crew as these all have Radio Operators. Of course you could get the T-28E instead, but it's not available right now either and it takes TWO Radio Operators.

Well if you dont want it, dont buy it!

I have to say at least it is not really overpriced and bloated with stuff you dont want like they use to be.

I will admit I am a tank collector yes I said it !!! I am now out in the open for all to know. I have been playing this game for over 4 years now and have 285 tanks in my collection I am missing 2 T10 tanks out of all of them the really bad Japan Type 5 heavy (I am at T9 and it is painful, & the new czech TVP T50/51 also  at T9 and love this tank), so some will think I am mad, so think its cool. At the end of the day its everyone personal choice, buy it, dont buy it. No one is forcing anyone to buy this tank.

What makes me think about the money I spend  on this game are the people who go out every Friday and Saturday night get drunk spend 40-60 Euros/ Sterling, wake up with a hangover and nothing to show, apart from a good night out with friends. I dont tell them they are wasting there money as its up to them.

I have at the end of the day something I can play with my friends over and over without spending more money and have fun. I can now play any tank and not get bored having to play the same tank over and over as that is all I have.

So Yes I did buy it as i want it for the collection

I've got a couple of these on NA and RU, where they were really cheap at various times (IIRC 50% off).

Obviously not as good as the Rudy, but not at all bad as a "normal" premium.

It shouldn't be thought of as a "stock T34-85", because that thicker (up from 45mm) 75mm front armour can be surprisingly effective. A lot of people make the mistake of casually snap-shotting you, thinking that its an easy-pen T34-85, only to get a bounce. The gun is a bit weak but, as pointed out previously, you can fire a bit of gold if necessary and still make a decent credit profit.

IMHO its one of those tanks where the enemy team often makes the mistake of under-estimating you, which gives you an advantage.

As a a trainer / XP maker for my T-34 crew . Would it be worth While ? It seems most people have a downer on it ?

Got one last year. A very average tank. Uses the S-53 instead of the D-5T. No premium MM. It simply can't handle it. The extra armour only means something if you're in a mostly tier V game, at which point even KV-1s will bounce on your front. And that's about it. Good crew trainer, but a very very average tank otherwise.

Why would you need an ace to show simply how something plays? I think standard 3rd class gameplay is what will display the abilities and limitations of a tank best. Reviews with ace tanker replays may be more entertaining but they may inflate people's opinions of the tank.

That's actually part of the reason I got it. I like my regular T-28 and have an A-44, so I wanted a Soviet medium with at least one radio slot, but two is perfect.
