Awesome tank, most played tank in my garage. Games like that are a RARITY. I've never done 6k damage in it. Its fast, can damage every tank in game frontally, really needs a good skilled crew. Can snapshot, then miss an e100s fat arse from 10 metres!!

My most played tank too, it's just FUN. Had some very funny moments with it, i love it to bits, so much that i play almost nothing else. It's like, i found my tank in WoT, when i switch to other tanks they just feel average, bland, grey... The crew just finished 5th skill. Mind you i'm not so good of a player, so i still only manage 55% in it, so to those who say 'ah your crew is so good, so many games played, you should do better in it' well i don't give a toss, i play for fun, and this is what this tank gives me, FUN :D So yeah, keep on derping :izmena:

If you want to play the tank, ask yourself: "Am I ready to handle the howitzer?". My T49 had the most unique build from all my other light tanks: BiA, Smooth Ride with Snap Shot, Vert. Stab., Rammer and Binoculars; all other crew skills were view range buffs and camouflage buffs.

I just sold it after 300 battles, I wanted to return to the Bulldog. But I will be returning to the T49 again. So, here are my thoughts of the tank.

The thoughts:

Here is my review of this light tank, in it's current state while it's definitely fun to play it's not competitive at all compared to the other T8 light tanks in this game. For it to be competitive the aimtime and dispersion values on the 152mm need a drastic buff (half of what they are now) and the 90mm needs AP ammo that has normal T8 light penetration. Currently the 90mm is only viable with gold ammo.

I definitely agree. It should have gun stats closer to SU-152 and O-Ho, considering it's effectively a tier 9 tank thanks to the scout MM rules.

Gun buff would be hilariously good :)

I don't mind the 90mm staying as it is. As said above, you play T49 for the derp, and take the RU for the 90mm

I love T49. So dumb, it is hilarious. Here is a moment I had just now:

And this one yesterday:

Its a challenge to have consistent battles in this tank. But its so rewarding when you succeed.

Very fun to go in early spots and fire HE shell in enemy when they move forward on battlefield.

This tank love other lights, frenchies, waffles and so on.

But important not to be to aggressive early on.

Conserve hp pool and take sneaky shots.

I have TERRIBLE and EXCELLENT rounds in the four-nine.

If you want a consistent tank, don't get this one.

It's a load of fun though.

Look mom im on telly :D

Thanks for putting this on UT btw...I wasnt aware so this was a nice suprise:great:

On topic;..

For some reason i seem to do quite well in this tank and i am not too sure why?...I have 60% W/R after 50 battles but not too much damage per game so things dont add up??..

What i have learnt;...The gun (As all say here) is very temperamental and lets you down alot of the time ..so i try not to rely on it...The name of the game is hit and run and i tend to play it very

aggressive..

Its also a very good 'Ambush' tank if you can get to the oponants sides? (As seen in the vid)...So its a light tank that actually plays well in city maps due to all the flanking opportunities and

due to your speed..

If you manage to get the full pen and get an 850-ish roll i always weigh up whether to go for the ram kill first as it is actually good at ramming too?...

Its also a massive 'Bully' to most light tanks so as they tend not to be interested in meddling with you (If you have the 152) so as such you can easily clear them out of the area that you want to

be in to gain good positions and map control.

Vision-wise on open maps i always try to play 'Active' scout as sitting in a bush is not what this tank was made for...as if a 1390 or WZ decide to sit in a bush with binos they will 'out spot' you..so optics

and good use of your speed and the terrain is what works for me..also you have very good speed so is very handy for getting to good early positions to gain map control..

...Its a great,Fun tank and i am sure you will enjoy it.

Tank is fun to play, and useless in clan r ranked games. That gun  can sold u out, in the times when u most need it, it is not reliable damage. I had situations when i hit enemy light tank for 2xx and left him on 5-10 hp, and 20 sec rld time is enought to shred u the the bits. I love him in random, the situation when u do 9xx dmg to tier X medium is just priceless.

I'd take my m41 bulldog over it every day.... I recently repurchased the t49 to give it a second chance, still think the stock gun is better then the derp and I tilted pretty bad when I did 190 damage with HE on the back of a 50-100 at point blank range with the derp gun then he reloaded before I could get away or get a second shot off....

I just really really don't like this tank... as a derp scout tier for tier the VK2801 is way more fun and way more effective... the T49 is just a lotto.

Just got LT-15 (T28 concept) done. This was maybe my 10th game in this overall. I'm still struggling how to play this. But just look at that 400m shotgun snapshot for 1014 dmg in the beginning of the fight! :D

Best derp scout in the game is of course VK 28 01 because of its mobility, speed, ramming capacity, ROF and so on. Who does not believe that then check Tazilon yt channel and its VK 28 01 with over 50.000 battles and 9 skills crew ;-)

Regarding T49 it is very good with stock gun as well because of HEP (HESH). I am used to those rounds from old FV 4202 or Centurion Mk. IX where I used them a lot and it was working great. But because I love scouts I was thinking that Ru 251 can be alternative, but no it can't be. That tank is bed and sold it already 4 times and I am sure it is not going back. Because on T49 those HEP works as it should and well if fun needed I can take 152mm so even nice options for guns there.
