When I got old PortWot client (6.6?) it installed RU region. I took EU region game from Win partition and copied over and had EU. But still have RU as well, in case EU servers die.

BTW, gameplay is different in RU/EU servers, worth to try out :)

Спасибо, чуваки. Это то что надо было мне лет этак 4 назад. Сделал акк, но на линь поленился заморачиваться. А тут такое. Картошкина благословение вам :)

PortWINE is the King on Linux, I try on Linux every few years, and this is by far the best setup...

OpenSuSE 42.2 running a HP laptop and rolling 60 FPS on lowest settings, I find that to be great still, just to be able to run on Linux.

and I run mine on EU server, I just threw in my copy from WinBlows

great work guys!

I have a similar setup as you.

Currently the client is loading. How can I turn on the HD client?

Code? Malware free? :) This is port, native game not emulation like? If it is native game based on wine then well done mate. Ok, not bad i just tried. It maybe be AMDGPU but perfomace is similar as on PoL.

Anyway. Play on Linux got the game just fine (maybe after installation we need to change few wine version) and game work solid/ 22-60fps medium/high settings, the only thing i noticed that do not work is in game platoon invite/accept etc. SD clientwok, FullHD/1080p also work.

Just use WoTLauncher to select SD or HD clent. For actual play of game use WorldOfTanks. They are both in PortWoT folder, which is in your HOME folder of Linux, unless you installed game somewhere else. Gl ;)

Installed on:

Linux kur4kwdz 4.11.0-1-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.11.6-1 (2017-06-19) x86_64 GNU/Linux

Game works pretty well (about 50 FPS, stable), but unfortunately i can’t aim with mouse. (camera moves in random direcitons with great speed). Mouse works OK when i’m in garage/menu.

Decrease mouse speed at your Linux. Also at in game settings. Hope this helps. :)

Question:

What happens to PortWINE when the game goes 1.0? Something tells me that the same methods to optimize the game won't be good after the game goes live.

Any reactions?

BTW:

Ubuntu 17.10

ASUS ROG

i7-4720HQ

GTX 960M

8GB Ram

60-70 FPS / high settings
