Hi WoT players,

Our goal is to weekly update on news, up-to-date events, new information on current issues and interesting articles!
If you think you have a story or article that would fit in well, submit the article to me via PM on the WoT boards.

Enjoy the game and have lots of fun smoking the enemy tanks out. You can try to knock my tanks out too if we meet on the battlefields.
I must warn you, I won't give my life away easily.

Look to the Future: Historical Battles and Much More

While general development plan and ETAs are being finalized here are some extracts:

Our current top priority is multi-cluster support. First of it will eliminate any sort of server overload during prime time.
The basics of the new architecture are to be introduced in 7.0 update. Multi-cluster will also enable us to introduce cross-server
battles (roaming) and future global map merger.

Subdivisions for company battles will be introduced in one of the upcoming updates.

New game modes (Assault, Encounter battles, Escort) are scheduled for this autumn.

We are also working on the necessary mechanics for French tanks: automated loading, oscillating turrets, multi-turret support.
Then come British and Japanese vehicles.

Render (engine) optimization. It currently has high priority, however the mission is rather difficult. The first improvements will arrive in 7.0,
there are many subtasks here, so an exact ETA, when all the changes are implemented, is still vague.

Additional features for UC battles - fog of war, cooldown period for destroyed vehicles, volunteer functionality.

Camos are scheduled for 7.0.

Realistic physics. The basics are ready and tested, however it is still a lot to be done, so the ETA is unknown.

Additional gameplay elements - new crew skills, new types of shells, etc

A bit more details on Historical battles.
You can create your own team or join another team that is being formed at this time. In general this works as in company battles.

The commander of this "company" chooses what historical battle to join. Accordingly there can be various restrictions on tanks.
- Only certain vehicles are allowed in a particular battle.
- Only certain module setup is allowed.

Each vehicle in each historical battle "costs" certain amount of points. I.e. the cost of Tiger can be different in 1943 and 1945.
There is a limitation on total number of points in each battle, so commander using strong language and punches tries to make his team to meet all
the requirements, including the ones listed above.

When everybody is ready, commander clicks Battle! button, the system starts looking for the right opponents. So as to decrease the probability of
unfair play, there will be certain match-making randomization.

Battles consists of a few rounds. E.g. best of 5. If one team wins 3 rounds in a row, the rewards are doubled, enemy rewards are halved
(under consideration). The maps should be appropriate for the historical battle selected. At first stage there will be no specially created maps,
however they might be added later, if this mode proves its popularity.

Rewards: experience, credits, achievements for winning historical battle.

Additional restrictions can be introduced on:
- equipment doesn't work
- consumables don't work
- the number of premium shells (the number will correspond to RL value)

Plus there will be win/loss counter for each type of historical battle (will take into account battles for a certain period of time).

ETA - 2012.

Special: WoT 1st Anniversary

Starting from 5:30 UTC on August 12th and till 5:00 UTC, September 12th, all our tankers will taste the following bonuses:

•60% discount on all consumables purchasable for gold: Fire Extinguishers, First Aid Kits, Chocolate, Cases of Cola, Repair Kits, and etc...
Pump your tanks up!
•Save up to 58% on all premium shells!

You can read some very important announcement from the battles and some remarkable notes from the Forum.

Perhaps, we shouldn't bother with such fools, they already have enough on their shoulder, I mean being such retards is hard for them!

See now yall are doin this all wrong. the thread should sound like this: Wow thanks WOT for this rolling turd pile you call the E-50.
I've not been this disappointed in a tank since...well ever. The gun bounces more than a my ex-wife bounces checks.
And seriously the T-54's those dirty Russian Cossack's are driving are tearing me a new one. When are those things going to get nerfed?
This P.O.S is little more that a farm tractor with sheet metal for armor and a 105mm duct taped to it.
The German line gets screwed like a cheerleader on prom night yet again .. Thanks DEV's. See guys like that.

diceroll tactics for various maps by Ew_

Theese tactics are for fast sorta ok armored tanks, ive done them only with the E50 which is the only one of my german tanks ive find capable of theese.

theese are my el halluf favorites, either they go very good or straight to shit, the diceroll is needed for theese ones. Starting with South one;

The red line : route to rush immidiately
The blue line: Try to cover behind the mountins edge a bit to spot them climbing so your SPG helps you greatly, and or all sniping tanks.
The Orane line: If someone is there, you are fucked
The Yellow line: keep in mind the TDs that use to be there, cant play with the edge too much!
Purple line: if you are doin good eventually some fool will try to flank you (entering your own SPGs line of fire)
Either you kill them all and stop an entire flank a stonethrow from their base, do great damage to a lot of enemies. Or you die miserably, it is up
to the diceroll.
http://i.solidfiles.net/b8dd.jpg

Now the north one, this requires teammates to be successful
The red line: route to rush immidiatelý (take shortest route to destination)
Blue line, main target, fools that will try to ram over the edge to shoot you, reverse up on the cliff, they cant shoot you, you hit their bellies
The orange line: someone most likely will go down there to the rocks to shoot you, team support usually gets those or they get to the rocks, snipe on!
Purple lines: If rush and blue/orange clard successfully, theese guys will be raped by spotting and derping at them, drag them out.
Green ?: Teammates must secure beach or this is fail anyway
This one sometimes is suicide if you cant make it over in time or they stop at the ridge to shoot you going over, much diceroll and teammets success
is needed.
http://i.solidfiles.net/ce73b.jpg

Himmelsdorf south side
This one is easy, rush the mid with fountain as cover as long as you can, then get behind that corner, kill shit coming from base blue line, and or
SPGs that are there, mind the left orange road. main target is helping and confusing the "heavy road".
http://i.solidfiles.net/6f3b.jpg

Abbey, both sides
http://i.solidfiles.net/5597.jpg
Rush to "their" sides for SPG cover, spot them at the corner where your own SPG can hit, this one is a huge diceroll, with incompetent SPG or platoon
SPG that dont give a damn about anyone but their own friends, you are fkd. Diceroll that requires great SPG support. Prefgerably kill one of them and
use his wreck as cover.

Some screens from theese diceroll tactics;

http://i.solidfiles.net/53a28.jpg (+ one IS7 to 41% by me alone )
^ http://i.solidfiles.net/87912.jpg to those that cant believe i actually make silver with my E50, that was a decent round, i died early and didnt get to shoot much

I thought i had more screens but i dont, erf, ill try to snapshot some.
