I did the most intelligent thing ever recently and bought this tank knowing f all about it. So... what does it do, and how should it be played?

It's pretty much everything you'd expect.

For a tank at tier 7.

Helps if you play more then one game :)

You should be able to do more then 0 damage, more so since the first games you get tender MM to feel good about the purchase.

I have also Mutz (and CDC). If KR is bad in a tier 10 match ... don't worry, that doesn't mean you made a bad choice, Mutz is as helpless.

Mutz is faster, accelerates faster, and has a gone that hits faster and more often. With APCR it can also pen the side and rear of the Maus.

Still it could be worse *Cough* M4A1 *Cough*

I guess those +2 Km/h, that Mutz has over KR, are really gonna save your bottom from ... pretty much any tier 9&10 medium.

+2km/h won't help you with the mediums no, but it does make a lot of difference when facing off against some enemies. Also traverse speed is pretty decent too compared the KR.

Anyway, if these 2 are bad (which are not)  there is no saving for the OP.

At the moment I doubt there are more rewarding tier 8 premiums. My Patton KR prints money and Mutz is not too shabby either.

Good thing then that the KR has some of the best dispersion on the move in the entire game (equal best of it's entire tier in fact) then.

Feel free to, but I'd also suggest looking at what others think of the tank. After all, more than just one person's opinion, no matter who that one person is, is no bad thing to get.

I find it's traverse speed sluggish, but then I'm used to fast tanks like the Type.

World of Tanks is simple. Here is a general guide to becoming an okay player.

Good gun dep? Play ridge lines.

Bad gun dep? Don't play ridge lines.

Stronk turret armor? Hide your hull.

Bad turret armor? Hide your tank.

Fast tank? Try to take strong positions asap, but have a retreat route ready

Slow tank? No dmg, go play a med noob

Slow and lots of arty? Camp next to your arty, optionally put your gun into his for funz and select a med the next time, scrub.

Bottom tier? Camp a lot early on, play aggressively later.

Press M once to re enable the minimap which you had off since the first battle, press + a few times till everything is clearly visible and enable additional minimap functions. Use this, it's more valuable than all the aimbots and warpacks combined.

Shoot red tanks, and use green tanks as meat shields and/or occasionally help greens who aren't complete imbeciles.

Grats, crash course world of tanks 101 passed. Enjoy being better than 95% of the playerbase.
