It's not like I make money from the sale of Mutz so if you think the M46 is better by all means go ahead. And yes the M46 isn't probably a bad tank. No tank with gun depression and decent view range can be considered bad. As for tanks.gg I visit it when needed but thanks for the tip anyhow.

I have both, and except for the fact that I had the pleasure to add one more tank to my 3 mark collection, I regret buying Mutz. I guess next time is better to check on forums if the guys who are giving tips actually own the tanks.

If you're gonna go with popular or generally well known youtubers / streamers listen to the right people. Check SirFoch's reviews on the tanks, as example, in case he did them. Opinions are just opinions and they're always under the influence of personal taste but as example Orzanel rates the Mutz the best tier VIII medium in the game, between premium and regular tanks on the tech tree. You don't need to agree with him of course but his knowledge of the game and skill playing it goes way beyond those names you mentioned combined, with no disrespect for their merits.

I like M46 KR.

It does at least few things better than Mutz: Shooting while on the move and it has more hit points. And you can get hilarious assist damages by poking over ridge lines and tracking enemies, which means a lot of credits.

Mutz is still probably a better tank. Both suffer in tier 10 games, but so does every tier 8 tank.

Iirc the ap pen is 2mm less than the Pershing.

True, but it's shots are clumsy imo.

+2km/h won't help you with the mediums no, but it does make a lot of difference when facing off against some enemies. Also traverse speed is pretty decent too compared the KR.

For me Mutz is worse the KR. That turret armor is worth anything Mutz has.

I prefer the Mutz over the Patton KR, though the KR is not a bad tank.

As with many things, that's a matter of personal preference. Two of the best tier eight premium tanks added to date though, without being blatantly op.

It's all about gun bloom and gun depression for me.

I like mine, it does most things well without being outstanding. I do find the gun a bit frustrating, hits snapshots on the move, but fully aimed shots seem to drop low very often.

When its mid to top in the MM it can be very good, struggles a bit if its low down, but then that tier 8 in a nutshell.

Makes decent credits, I don't have the Mutz, but with this and the Type and don't need another tier 8 medium anyway.

This -

(yeh I'm still milking it, sue me :P)

and this -

http://wotreplays.co...7-m46_patton_kr

Basically -

- work ridges,

- keep exposure to a minimum with excellent gun handling (snap shot)

- Work from medium to close ranges (not a good sniper)

- Use decent mobility to get to sides of tanks or shoot distracted targets.

- Avoid trades or if trade ensure you get second shot in before enemy reloads. Generally avoid peek-a-boo battles.

- Use speed and mobility to relocate to better positions, always re-evaluate your position, put your gun where it best helps your team.

- Sidescrape and frontal wiggling can produce odd bounce/absorb shots when in brawl or exposed areas.

- Don't tank or brawl unless you really have to, you are a soft medium, others shoot be taking shots for you (this doesn't mean red line camping and if you can afford to loose the HP, take the hit)

- Use ROF to track enemies in position.

Equipment should be v-stab, rammer, optics (unless you have excellent crew with BIA, view range skills and you are going to stack chocolate on there)

The tank is not that flammable and doesn't seem to take too much crew/module damage so using cola is viable.

Skills wise, if you don;t already have a good US medium crew I'd go repairs, then drop for Sixth and Safe stowage when you get to first skill. Then repairs on the commander/loader.  I'd then add view range skills.

Smooth ride and snap shot are not really necessary, snap shot is in fact a waste because with a v-stab turret dispersion drops to 0.06 and snap shot doesn't change it. Smooth ride drops movement dispersion from 0.10 to 0.09. Considering the tanks has poor ground resistances off road driving might be a better option.

Carry a health amount of APCR for crunch times and tier 10 games when needed, the tank carries plenty of ammo.

I think I would like the Patton KR, since I love my Pershing. The thing is, I bought the Mutz because I like my Pershing so much. The KR doesnt get the Pershing's sweet APCR shell, nor its bouncy gun mantlet. The KR still look very nice, despite that. Mutz just looks like a better deal, and doesnt get the Tiger skin camo. (Really, i dont like the tiger skin).

Which is why I said that I preferred it rather than stating it as a fact. :)
