Greetings!

Today we had a small micro patch and it seem some players are unable to purchase tanks.  If you find yourself experiencing this issue, please remove any mods you have installed or run the game in safe mode.

Regards

Well played Wargaming!

You don't ban game breaking unfair mods, you micro-patch small portions of "pain" for mod users... :hiding:  - Feel free to ignore this post if you're not into this "tinfoil hat alert, game is rigged, Illuminati confirmed" thing! :D

It's just an announcement sent to all players.

Do you have a problem buying tanks?  If not then don't worry, it does not concern you.

I did a CLEAN reinstall after a CLEAN redownload of the game, I also tried running it in ANOTHER HARD DRIVE. And still I cannot receive invitations to platoon from other players. Yes, my settings are all perfectly set. And I had no mods whatsoever.

Any news about that ?

I am unable to purchase a new tank after this "Micro-patch."

I am not going to reinstall the game, and am not going to play WOT without XVM, its just too painful.

I suggest you roll-back the "Micro patch." Or give up the money from premium tank sales.

Your choice.

Game breaking mods? yeah right. i play this game vanilla without any mods and i have not experienced anything gamebreaking from others using mods. You must be playing really bad if you are losing against people who uses mods to assist their gaming :P

If you would ever have a win-rate that's above noticeable you would probably feel like arty is interested in you.

If you ever played strongholds and knocked down objects and then had the enemy team outsmarting you like they knew exactly where you were you would probably feel like they have a better eye on "broken objects on the mini-map".

Those are the main 2 mods. Imho the better zoom-in mod is also not super fair.

Oh god, of all the 'I can't buy Tank!' posts/threads, yours takes the cake.

Update your mod. You use mods? It's your responsibility to keep them up to date. Any patch that comes out, no matter how small or large has the potential to break a mod, causing this mod to break your game in certain aspects. This is the risk if you decide to play with mods.

Don't want mods breaking your game? Either keep them up to date or don't play with them.

So no WG does not need to 'rollback', nor do you need to 'reinstall game' or play without precious XVM. You simply have to update your mod. The very standard procedure you must always follow when a patch comes out.

With hindsight it would have been a good idea for this patch to have used a different mod folder.  Just to force people to update.

The thing to remember when adding your own software patches to a program, which is what mods are is this.

Often these mods make use of undocumented features in the original program, this has been happening since I got involved in computers in the late 70s.

You can be certain that sooner or later the original code gets changed slightly and you have problems.

Its really not wargamings fault that these things happen, its also no great hassle to go back to a clean install and see if that fixes the problem.

You don't even have to do that just rename the folder and make a new one.

They created the res mods folder just for this purpose.

If it doesnt fix the problem then by all means come back and complain the update is the problem.

For what its worth I had this problem removing the mod fixed the problem.

Reinstalling the mod brought the problem back again.

Mod was updated the next day especially to fix the problem of buying tanks.

Well done to the modder of webiums modpack

Lol so wait you can't play WOT without XVM so you put yourself into a position where you cannot purchase a tank because you are unwilling to remove mods to fix what the patch broke ?

Ok the patch should not have broke the purchase option but still all of us that were effected have fixed the issue by removing MODS yet you expect WG go give up money because of it ?

Are you a Martian ?

It's because these players use mods & the recent update caused the mods to break a part of the game. Normal procedure after an update of WoT is to download updates of the mods you use. Sadly, as proven past week, people prefer to blame WG for a problem mod-makers have caused. On top of this, there's quite some unable to use the search function or read the ingame advice to update mods.

WG did their part to help, the ingame notice to update your mods is even more then most game companies would do when people face problems with their mods after an update.

It is outdated XVM that is the source of the problem. Look here: http://forum.worldof...-6211-or-later/

There is no need to uninstall all mods. Simply update to latest XVM (6.2.1.1 or later) and you can buy tanks ingame again.
