This mod is forked from BirrettaMalefica's SpotMessanger, all thanks to BirrettaMalefica.

 

Send message to team or platoon, eventually with a "help" or "ping" command, if you are spotted and under some conditions.

This mod aim to inform your CW-TC-ESL team if you are spotted but only if they want that informations:

Infact you can configure the mod to be enabled in some types of battles and with some types of tanks. Also, in battle you can disable/enable it pressing F11


Feature:

  • send messages to team when 6th sense
  • cooldown after message, default 60 sec
  • can disable function for some tank types if you want
  • can enable function only when team amount is small, default is always
  • can be different settings for each battle type
  • allows multiple settings for same battle type

 

Default settings:

  • the message contains the words "An enemy ha spotted me at A8"
  • don't ping the minimap
  • use F7
  • F11 to activate/disable the mod
  • NUMPAD4 to reload config
  • enabled for every tank types
  • disabled in random battles except platoon message

 

Customize:

  • config file: res_mods/configs/spotmessanger/spotmessanger.xml
  • document: res_mods/configs/spotmessanger/spotmessanger.txt

Default settings:
  • disabled in random battles except platoon message

 

if you want to be enable other command (ex. radio command help F7) in random battle, edit res_mods\configs\spotmessanger\spotmessanger.xml as following,

only active while in a platoon by default.

 

to enable:  in <BattleType>Random</BattleType> section change <Command>squadmsg</Command> to <Command>teammsg</Command>.

did you also implement the "tryPlatoonMsg"/"AvoidRandomMsg" functionality in your version or can i use <BattleType>Random</BattleType> twice to configure different pehaviour in platoons?

i have a plan in the next version (for 0.9.15),

can config to try squad channel at the first and use team channel when not found squad channel.

in short terms: always send platoon message no matter what; if less than 7 also send team message, but my attempt doesn't work, the config parser only uses the second (last) settings per battle type it seems.

ok, its nice idea.  try this version.  it accepts multi configure as yours.

i need tester.

debug "false" doesn't seem to work. not a major problem.

debug "false" prevent only debug message, i.e. beginning 'DEBUG'.

but, too many 'INFO' messages is output.

 

so, in new version 0.4.0, added new config parameter 'LogLevel' for control logging.

 

try <LogLevel>notice</LogLevel> , for prevent 'INFO'.

I adapted to 0.9.15.1 in next version, but not tested.

on ASIA, 0.9.15.1 don't come yet.  and my EU account don't have 6th sense.

Looks great. Not fully testet, but it is working in random battles and no exception at python.

Is it possible to make it so it works in random battles when you're not in platoon? 

Which mod should I use so I can message my team in chat "spotted at ..." ?
