Hey everyone!

I have question.

How to change resolution to the smallest one in wot but with widescreen.

Like:

Normal: 1024x768 with black stripes on left and right.

I want: 1024x768 without black stripes and widescreen. How to do that? o.O

There will always be letterboxing if the resolution does not fit your screen. You should use a resolution that fits the aspect ratio of your screen.

You don't really seem to understand how aspect ratios and resolutions work, do you? If you absolutely have to use that resolution with the monitor you have, then you can for example use the built in function in the monitor to stretch out the image until you don't see the letterboxing anymore. But you do understand that this will distort the image, everything will look stretched out and ugly. Trust me just use the lowest resolution that fits you monitors aspect ratio.

I understand but i don't use 1366x768 because it's laggy as hell. I want to use 1024x768 without black stripes because i found that i get higher fps by that. (I don't know why but on test it started in that resolution without the black stripes) I got stable 60 fps on it. But when i restarted World of tanks it was normal with black stripes and my FPS was 30-45.

Want a 4:3 resolution on your monitor without blackstripes on the sides? Get a 4:3 monitor.

Simple as that.

Like my LaCie Electron 22 Blue IV. ;)

if you cant play this game on 1366x768 which btw is a godawfull resolution, you need a better PC simple as that. now i will probabbly get a response along the lines of "i cant afford q.q" here is a protip: the used market.

its extremely viable and you can make something quite powerfull on a shoestring budget, just look on your local equivalant of something like craig's list for parts you can find some pretty neat stuff. (also hunt local thrift shops they might carry something neat for piss cheap, managed to get dualcore systems with 4GB ram for less then €10)

but if you are hellbent on using 1024x768 grab a crappy 17" 4:3 monitor from a thrift shop for like €5 and be done with it.
