I run my T34 with rammer, optics and GLD and my crew is into its 4th skill without BIA. The tanks got to be the best tier 5 med but its downfall is it aims to slow. If I swap a crew skill for BIA and drop the rammer for vents will I see a noticable improvement. has annyone tried this set up? I wonder if this might just rob me of vital DPM when im stuck in a toe to toe scrap or circling.

it reloads so fast, that it is impossible to get aim time shorter than reload time.

just keep shooting without fully aiming (unless you loaded gold for some o-i).

and you're right, this tank is best tier 5 medium, with m4 being 10% weaker.

edit: also, I think there is not a single medium tank which would benefit from dropping gun rammer.

Toe to toe or circling, who cares about the aim time when you are that close - surely that is exactly when you do want the DPM? And at medium distances, just hang on the extra 0.3 seconds.....

i know thats what im saying. Droping the rammer would lose a little dpm up close where aim time doesnt matter

There are many different approaches. I would have BIa (and camo and 6th sense + other crew specific skills that increase speed and gun handling and keep last repairs as is not that important for my play style) and swap egld for vents but that just me. Anyhow i remember that it doesn't really have such a huge problem with gun handling so i'm leaning to think that you are not running with the 57 mm which is a big mistake in my view.

57mm all the way

Gun rammer, max DPM  - of course

Forget this aim time rubbish. 10m away, just fire the bloody gun!!

Been a while since I played it but yes 57mm gun better dpm better penetration if you need to use premium.

Really hated the 76mm gun on that tank.

It's a playstyle thing I guess. I mostly snipe (and passive scout) with the T-34 succesfully.  At long distances aimtime is the bottleneck for DPM, so I run with GLD & vents (and binos) to minimize aimtime.

Rammer on T-34 does nothing for long range shots. Use a setup which benefits your playstyle. If you find yourself flanking and or brawling more: rammer, vents, optics/GLD ftw!

Probably best to try how the tank feels with vents BEFORE resetting any crewskills. Replace either the optics (for max DPM setup) or the rammer.

edit: actually, easiest way to check if bia (+5%) & vents (+5%) helps you is playing a game with food (+10%)
