Only real solution to latency issues would be to switch to a server closer by, afaik.

Ergo, the WoT-SEA servers, which means a new account which you'd probably prefer not to make.

Although you could go ahead and make that account now, play a couple of games on it to get a feel of how much latency you might expect for such a distance. (WoT-SEA server is located in Singapore)

Well, I get ~300ms more latency if I ping anything in Australia. Since with light speed it takes about 100ms go back and forward on straight line between Europe and Australia, 300ms is not so bad. And you cannot go faster than light.
