Well done to WG for testing changes to see if things can be improved.

 

However, reading through the details gives me the impression that all games will end up like the mid-tier ones when the Jap heavies were so overarmoured that they were effectively became the only relevant tanks in the match. At least we had a chance when we could waste gold ammo on them (and make the drivers cry!), but I'd hate the whole game to go that way.

 

IMO, the balance is pretty reasonable at the moment and there's no global rebalance required, just the occasional tweak to vehicles but more variety in the maps.

All around I like the changes. I think the battles will last more than 3 min, comparing with the current crap. And it is true that, currently, the diferent tank types lost their porpouse, scouts, for example. The game will be more diversified and engaging. It remains to see how we will do with the paper thin TD's.

Dear Wargaming, all you managed to achieve to this point is to screw this game up more and more.

The new physics are rediculous, the spotting system is utter garbage and the community if you want to call it like this is wrecked up into oblivion.

Let us not forget your excellent work with the match maker.

 

I stopped supporting this game some time ago when i noticed the path you were taking and I, unfortunately, am happy to watch you go down from this point.

 

I am really looking forward to this rebalance, where you will certainly do what you think is best and not what the players think is best.

 

I also like the name "sandbox", since this is where children belong.

I'm actually quite disappointed.

 

WG, some time ago, had released a global 'penetration nerf' test server. It got such a MASSIVE bad feedback that not even Serb could carry on with it, and fortunately it was cancelled.

The current Sandbox server is basically that same penetration nerf, along with a precision nerf and mobility nerf.

 

What kind of feedback does WG expect ?

 

I sincerely fail to understand the logic behind this if there is any. You already got community feedback for what you're testing, don't test it again hoping for different feedback....

 

I know Wargaming dreams of a full-HT high tier meta but it is clearly not what the players want and you guys know it.

Most of these changes, I don't know if they're more idiocy or more insanity. Are you actually trying to drive people away, to AW or something else entirely?

 

Here's what you should be doing :

 

1. Remove camo and highlighting, add transparency to tank rendering over a certain distance so they become gradually more difficult to see. When an enemy tank is spotted by a light tank, their opacity is increased for everyone on the light tank's team as if they were in the same position as that light tank even if they're further back.

 

No more shitty spotting mechanics with invisible tanks or tanks which only become visible up to two seconds after you should have spotted them.

 

1.b) No more tank silhoutte highlighting when you put your reticle on it.

2. Reduce or eliminate ballistic compensation including for arties. When arties target on the minimap they get elevation and orientation angles which they have to manually input by dragging bars with their cursor.

3. Remove artillery topdown view and replace with minimap targeting which gives you gun elevation and orientation angles which you have to input manually (not by typing).

4. Significantly improve arty accuracy to something comparable to tanks and tds and reduce reload time to load times comparable to heavy tanks with the same caliber guns or proportional to that.

5. Limit arties to one per battle.

6. Arties give away their position on the minimap to everyone on the map when firing, just as if they'd been spotted directly.

7. Improve arty HE penetration to AP levels.

I hope you know we are aware of that, you're not teaching us anything my friend.....

 

General ideas about the sandbox are what we criticise. Not specific details, but the whole logic behind it. And that is not supposed to change

Also :

 

Instead of having the server compute visibility and spotting for everyone, have WOT clients do it for each other. Have the clients in one battle compute the visibility for tanks of clients in a different battle so there is no incentive for client side hacking.

 

Have the clients communicate this to each other directly, without going through the server. The server is only used for discovery / allocating of combinations of clients which compute one another's spotting by other tanks.

 

This way maybe we can get PROPER NETCODE and more than pathetic, ONCE EVERY TWO BLOODY SECONDS updates on spotted enemy tanks' positions, if they're far away.

So heavies are heavy again,

Meds need to work hard to take on heavies/td's by flanking,

Scouts can't just sit in a bush quietly while td's/meds spam gold from the other side of the map,

Arty can actually be arty instead of "indirect fire td's",

And best of all YOU NEED TO AIM AGAIN, FINALLY!
