Seems like it's just the lighting that makes them look different. If you compare the hull and 2nd turret albedo maps they both have the same shade of khaki.

Spoiler

I don't own a Batchat or E 50 M so there's no interest for me in those two tanks. You could ask the creator of those "extreme" remodels to do a 2nd version that's more conservative maybe.

First off you'll need wottools.exe to decrypt game script/XML files. (no need to encrypt them back when using in mods btw.(not possible for us anyways))

Technically speaking you can't just add segmented tracks to SD tanks as it requires a good amount of code to get it working properly even on HD tanks. But if you wanna do it first thing would be to create the left.track and right.track files which are basically speaking brezier curves where the track segments get moved along. There's no known way to automate the creation of the .track files so you have to boot up Blender, 3ds or Maya and create a curve in 3D world space that goes around the chassis model where the tracks should be. Each point in the curve is then put into an array of nodes which look like

        <node>
          <name>
Track_R0_loc1</name>
          <position>
1.212  0.038  1.695  </position>
        </node>
        <node>
          <name>
V_loc2</name>           <-- This is how it would be for your SD model with incrementing loc# nodes
          <position>  1.212  0.038  0.958  </position>
        </node>
        <node>
          <name>
V_loc3</name>           <-- This is how it would be for your SD model with incrementing loc# nodes
          <position>  1.212  0.038  0.215  </position>
        </node>

Each curve starts off with loc1 and has an undefined amount of nodes. Most of them are between 20-30. In front of loc1 you can see Track_R0 which is the bone on the chassis the point of the curve gets assigned to so if that particular bone moves so does the track curve. Now since SD chassis doesn't have any Track_## bones you can just assign everything to the V node which is a general bone that moves/pivots the entire band track model. This is a half measure so you won't have independent suspension animations or track segments reacting to recoil when firing your gun.

Now in the <position> part of the .track file you see 3 numbers which are Z coordinates. X is left/right, Y is up/down and Z is back/forth so <position>  1.212  0.038  1.695  </position> would be 1.2 meters to the right, a bit up and then 1.7 meters to the front of the center. Be aware though that 3ds has Y and Z switched if you use that program and I believe in Maya the Z axis needs to be inverted.

After finishing that you'll need the actual 3D track segments. Here you could just take the ones from the Tiger II or E 75 and copy them over to your "G73_E50_Ausf_M\track" folder where also your .track files are.

Next up is editing the vehicle XML file and adding the necessary nodes for the segments to display. What you do here is add the <splineDesc> node to the chassis part of your XML which looks something like this.

(Use XMLs of HD tanks as a reference where to place those entries)

      <splineDesc>
        <segmentModelLeft>vehicles/german/G73_E50_Ausf_M/track/segment1_R.model</segmentModelLeft>
<--
        <segmentModelRight>vehicles/german/G73_E50_Ausf_M/track/segment1_L.model</segmentModelRight>   <-- Those tell the game where to look for the track segments

        <segment2ModelLeft>vehicles/german/G73_E50_Ausf_M/track/segment2_L.model</segment2ModelLeft>   <--
        <segment2ModelRight>vehicles/german/G73_E50_Ausf_M/track/segment2_R.model</segment2ModelRight>   <--
        <left>vehicles/german/G73_E50_Ausf_M/track/left.track</left>   <-- Where your left.track file is located
        <right>vehicles/german/G73_E50_Ausf_M/track/right.track</right>   <-- Where your right.track file is located
        <segmentLength>0.29</segmentLength>
        <segmentOffset>0.058</segmentOffset>

        <segment2Offset>0.142</segment2Offset>
        <lodDist>MEDIUM</lodDist>
        <atlas>
          <UTiles>    1    </UTiles>
          <VTiles>    1    </VTiles>
        </atlas>
      </splineDesc>

Everything else can be copied from the original XML of like the Tiger II or E 75.

Next up copy the <trackThickness> node from your donor XML. Something like:

<trackThickness>-0.0288</trackThickness>

And voila you have segmented tracks on your SD tank.

I just copied over everything from the Tiger II so it looks out of place

Milky, can you please make a bat-chat and/or e50m remodel? I checked out other modders works, but their style is just too "extreme". Also could you please tell me how can I change the SD tracks to HD segmented ones? I wanna start making remodels as a hobby, but I dont know how WoT models work:( Thanks pal, keep up the good work!

You really should read the original post mate.

Question: You have to make me a [#remodel] of the [#tankname]. Please I need it!

He sure took his time, only uploaded it 40 Minutes ago and I guess he forgot to download it and just take an in-game screenshot this time around.

It's still upsetting that I sent a ticket to Support about this and apparently they can't/won't touch the guy. :sceptic:

He doesn't even bother to cover Milky's logos, and yet he thinks he can get away with claiming it as his own :teethhappy:

What he also doesn't bother with is removing the readme and modshop folder and then trying to change the folder structure again so it crashes to desktop like the 2nd Type 74 upload which was a complete hackjob that didn't work at all.

Well done so far Mikey, you failed on every step.

Hey Milkym4n

Awesome mods, keep up the good work.

I wanted your m4a1 rev. remodel but unfortunately there is a very serious compatibility problem between your mods and these sound effect mods -

http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/index.php?/topic/596268-091701-zorgs-modshop-gnomefathers-historical-realism-gun-sounds-mod-v-108/

The issue is with the .xml files, i've tried to merge them by comparing them in notepad ++, but there is way too many differences.

I know very little about coding.

Please make a guide about how to merge those conflicting .xml files or coordinate your work with Zorgane.

You should contact Zorgane about that. I don't offer inter-mod-compatibility, he does.

Hey Mr.Milkym4an, just showing my appreciation and gratitude for your fantastic looking work. Tried the Revalorisé on a whim (first WoT Tank skin/model mod) and the end result is beyond awesome.

Please, don't stop! :D
