You now can change the pictures in the graphical version? Older versions are normally given rewrite, now we do not see any pictures.

Open \mods\0.9.17.1\YasenKrasen\yk_statistics.wotmod with something like 7-Zip, and place your own pictures in the proper locations inside, as they were before in the res_mods folder.

Just be careful not to change the compression of the .wotmod file. It should be store mode, aka "no compression".

Well, you should be aware of that method, when you mean open .wotmod file with 7Zip and drag &drop to replace or add a file.

The newly added file would be added with compression, just compare size vs packed size of that file.

Anyway that's behavior, when I add or replace files with that method.

The proper way would be...

extract all files and folders with 7Zip from .wotmod package, replace or add what ever you like in the extracted files/folders.

make a .bat file on same place/path where you have extracted res folder and meta.xml file with next content and run it.

(Check the path of installed 7Zip, it could be different)

batch

@ECHO OFF

"C:\Program Files\7-Zip\7z.exe" a -mcu -tzip -mx0 %~dp0yk_statistics.wotmod %~dp0res -r -y
"C:\Program Files\7-Zip\7z.exe" a -mcu -tzip -mx0 %~dp0yk_statistics.wotmod %~dp0meta.xml -r -y

pause

Hope it helps :)

Yeah, figured that method would probably not work out :(

Today's micro patch brings changes to sweden_vehicles.mo, a update of a mod is not really necessary, but who use color messages should copy sweden_vehicles.mo from World_of_Tanks\res\text\lc_messages to World_of_Tanks\res_mods\0.9.17.1\text\lc_messages.

If anyone cares - it's only the description of the Strv S1 tank that has changed, from Russian to English.

So it's a very minor thing. :)

I have a difficult decision to make...

I would like to update all icons in session statistics and color messages, but I'm not sure is it important to keep the classic style icons.
Of course I could keep updating both, classic styles and new styles, but that would be unnecessary double work for me.
To implement the ideas, I have to change the configs and color messages, and they would not be compatible with each other (classic with new styles).

The icons for session stats are similar to the custom style I made, for some of the icons I still deciding what are the best one.

I would like to see opinion's about the new icon changes to stay more objective, so I can decide should I keep the classic style icons as well or the new icons are good enough to be default icons for all YasenKrasen styles.

Check the folder structure inside downloaded archive of 0.9.17.1c, main mod and config should be in World_of_Tanks\mods\

and coloured messages should be in World_of_Tanks\res_mods

Strange behavior of antivirus :)

You can safely ignore the notification, the mod it self just comparing the version of the mod on pastebin.com that contains simple raw text with the current version of the mod.

So the mod "knows" should it inform you is there a updated version of the mod.

...or you can set checkForUpdate to false in config, but then you will not get update notifications.

Well, I didn't get much opinions about my planed future changes mentioned here...

Anyway the total icon and colour messages overhaul is almost done, it will be released when its ready.

Of course skulls will remain alternatively :)

One more thing about I would like to get opinions (I hope more then about icon/coloured messages changes):

I plan to splitup differently YasenKrasen versions.

Main versions would be splited into Full Core, Vanilla and Mini, all versions would have same Vanilla background images.

Additionally downloaded wotmod packages would contain alternative V1, V2 and V3 backgrounds.

advantages:

  • usage of wotmod package capabilities, all variations of backgrounds could be easily applied on any of the main versions.
  • less bandwidth usage (at least for me and modpacks containing YasenKrasen)

disadvantage:

  • to get YasenKrasen V1, V2 or V3, it would be needed to download 2 separate packages Core version + backgrounds.

What kind of bug would it be? It's showing which rank you got, based on xp, in the fight. If you were place 11th, sorted by xp, then it's not a bug. :)

Oh, okay, I just thought it was only showing M, 1, 2 and 3 badges and not the place you were ranked.

Other than this I really like your new style icons and I think you should only update these.

As I said in an earlier post, you are doing a great job and I think all of us using this mod are thankfull...
