If I understood correctly, the medal has 4 levels(classes), but there are total of 5 missions that reward the medal/upgrade. Is there any additional benefit to completing all five, or is it just incase someone missed one and still wishes to get 1st class medal?

Same boat as above. What's the outcome of doing all five?

No additional benefit (aside of the rewards). If you have completed all 4 missions previously, you will "only" get the garage slot and premium consumables.

You mean I miss out on the medal and emblem because I've already got them ?  Outrageous !! ;)

Is there any point to this 5 week long grind? We get a medal and some emblems? Woo hoo?

Grind? It was doable by just playing, hardly any effort needed.

EDIT: Well for new players it isn´t that easy though...:child:Actually those were the ones who needed thos garage slots

So IMO this 100 Years thing was/is a failure

It's not really a grind, you can do it by just playing the game for a couple of hours a day. Plus you get a load of premium consumables and 5 garage slots. But if you can't be bothered, that's up to you - No one is forcing you to do it...

These missions taught me a lot about spotting and passive scouting.  I used to hate it because I was so bad.  But this mission allowed me to complete Stug LT15 and so I've had huge rewards from unlocking the 2nd tank PMs.

I also learned a lot about side scraping and bouncing.

Next time you mean after another 50 or 100 years? But yes camo would been nice.

"playing the game for a couple of hours a day" is the definition of grinding.

It would be my idea of cutting back.

Really? I didn't realise the day was so short. I somehow manage to fit a full-time job, parenting a 5 year old child, having a social life and a couple of hours of tanks in to it. I'm must some mad temporal manipulation skillz...

Pro tip - You don't have to do the two hours all at once...

Nah,

Grinding is actively working towards a primary goal. This goal can be experience points for a new tank, finishing up that crewskill, getting the credits for equipment modules or tanks, or something like the upcoming marathon mission for the 44-100. When you're grinding for something, one tends to keep alot of track of progress being made. This can make grinding very frustrating when progress is slow, but lets be honest here: Progress is never fast enough if you still need to grind for something. Especially grinds that have to be completed within a timeframe, such as a weekend special or a marathon tend to be can be extra frustrating when your not done yet, but have no desire to play anymore. Its not uncommon to hear from players that grinds arent fun, but the goal might be worth it.

In comparison, when I'm simply playing the game I play whenever I want, however I want. Progress is not important as I'm not really working towards anything specific, the aim is just to play the game. When I feel like playing something else, I'm off.

Big difference right there, I think.

I was hoping that whatever these missions were a prelude would be announced today, looks like whatever the main event is will have to wait another week.

Free garage slots are always useful though.
