Why don't we get a game mode where we can drive the mark I ourselves? (edit: like wot for console gets it)
Really disappointing, have been eagerly awaiting to get to drive this lumbering beast since the first screenshots appeared...
100 years anniversary of the mark I and we get to drive some machine gun-buggy - so wow much fail...

Loving this game mode. I really like the way the Lanchester handles. Pretty sure the real thing would snap in half if you put it through  the  jumps you can discover in game.

Stinking Steaming Pile of Comi Poo.   Surely they can't edit that right?

Fooking loonies are running the asylum, forget the take over, and whats next ? Uniscums all driving op meds in plum platoons.

10s of millions claimed player base! but yet less than 1k in game playing at the wee small hours the other night.

I really like the new mode; it's dynamic, fun and amusingly commemorates the first use of armoured vehicles in battle. I really hope there will be enough positive feedback to put other armoured cars into the random games.

However, I am afraid The Convoy mode won't be played in great numbers simply because the rewards are not very attractive as they were in previous "fun modes".

It is fun mode. The armoured cars drive surprisingly well...

But there is one thing that bugs me - Xbox edition actually gets to drive the Mark, we don't... Just saying.

Some people need extra help in the form of 'special' mods.

indeed - so special that they predict for artillery aiming and take over tank gun aiming for you.

Some remarks that could make this mode funnier:

  1. Bomb should be placed at an exact location, and if a Lanchester rides over the bomb, it explodes (so we can sacrifice our vehicle in favour of the Tank :)).
  2. Mark I could squash the Lanchester if it encounters one on its way.
  3. Missions Field Repair I and II reqiure that we repair the Tank at least once. What if the defending team is completely inactive?

Just too bad. Same goes for their side.

Otherwise you'd probably have a lot more AFK'ers than there is, because they'd get a Win for doing nothing.

Didn't you read the page that led you here?

All you need to know is there. Scroll down to the Legend, and mouseover the icons on the map.

Yeah, next WG FAIL MODE????? JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZ

All of the Rétarded kids thinks that this mode is about who kills the most enemy Lanks....got my medals and pers shít, thanks, will NEVER waste my time on this anymore.

Of WG FAIL modes, the only ones worth playing was the Chaffee race and the 8bit something mode with 3 differend tanks, cause they GAVE huge crew boosts, this DOESNT.

Feedback:

  • Fun mode is generally Fun but does gets Repetative, possible limited application on main game.
  • Highly a-historical ( I can forgive though as it is a fun mode). Wider rollout of AC's or convoy mode would need balancing but would work.
  • For the love of god balance the chance of being on attack or defence team (I am attacking the Mk1 in 2:1 games)
  • I see you have solved secondary guns AI with the MK1. Now how about having this on in-game tanks with associated main armourment Nerfs.
  • Reverse steering needs to be inverted as it is still set-up for tracked vehicles.

Otherwise nice fun mode to play a few battles and test some possible features.

Basically follow whatever spawns on the map.

If you're attacking make sure the tank keeps moving, you do this by guarding the bomb with your teammates and not letting enemy team get the bomb and bring it to the tank, any tactic works, physically blocking enemy players from getting the bomb, shooting them down, or just blindly ramming them to stop them (very effective when someone is on his way to bomb the tank).

If you're defending It's very similar, you rush to get the bomb, then bring the bomb to the tank to blow its tracks off and stop it from moving. Then repair kit will spawn somewhere and you and your teammates should go there and guard it to prevent enemy team from getting it and repairing the tank. Same stuff as above, shooting, blocking, ramming, basically everything you can do to stop them.

There is also another possibility when defending, and that is deliberately letting enemy team repair the tank as fast as possible so that you can bomb it again as fast as possible. If done right you will deplete all of the tank's health thus blowing him up and winning the game earlier.

Never let the objective out of sight, bombs/repair kits are your primary point of attention, wasting time shooting enemy cars for no good reason other than collecting kills/damage is hampering your team. Basically if you ever played "capture the flag" in any of the online games you'll feel right at home.

Regarding the powerups get them if they're nearby, it's better for you or anyone in your team to have them than the enemy players using them on you, however if getting them requires significant detour, it may not be worth it as you will waste much valuable time.

This is the fun mode in a nutshell.

Totaly stupid mode, our team protected Mk. 1 so good that enemy didint track it even once. Result 0 silver, 0 exp, because no missions were completed. Apparantly we need to let them track it once to get anything from the round. TOTALY STUPID

After playing defenders in 3 games, every one a loss, I'm going to say this mode isn't very fun at all.  It has multiple major differences compared to current normal play: vehicles that control differently, respawning (I've seen many players give up after being destroyed the first time), and a major progress mechanic that is the be-all and end-all of whether you win a round.  Can't see any info on the minimap as to where the bomb or repair kit are and often can't spot them by looking around.  This is even father from real tank warfare of any age than the main WoT game is.  Another WG fail.  Not going to waste anymore battle time on it.
