To mark 100 years since the first tank rolled out, the Mark IV took to Trafalgar Square, London whilst those there stood in awe.

Pretty clear there was nobody there except the photographers and the PR team.

I was invited down by Sir Havoc to see it as well as attend the 2hr Conference about the history as well as some insight to the future of WoT and other games by WarGaming :)

I am pretty shocked and stunned that there was so little if any PR or advertising preceding this event! How little was known about it? This is 100 YEARS of celebrating the first tank, it's CENTENARY!

It shouldn't have been so underplayed and under emphasised the importance of this machine.. I'm also flabbergasted that it's only outing will probably be Trafalgar Square! How about touring with it around each Major city of the UK and even perhaps Europe and the World? Wargaming.net and I'm sure Bovington's coffers would be able to stump up the cash for this.. Maybe even charge a small fee to visitors for the experience. I'd gladly pay. I live in the northeast near Newcastle and I didn't even know about this event.. Yes I could see it in Bovington or wherever it's home is but truth is I couldn't afford the trip down to London. I'm surprised also at how few photos of the machine there are in your article. You have the ability for the 360 video and it should have been released along with this event to allow more scrutinisation of it to all those interested.

I was actually patriotically emotional looking at the few photos there are and feel this is whole heartedly an opportunity missed to share it with our younger generation and other interested parties.

Luckily for me I have the model in 1/72 scale along with the German A7V and so will have to replicate this or the original when I get the time but all in all a disappointing showing by Wargaming.net and if the event wasn't enough, just look how little feedback there is on this Forum.. Noone has had enough knowledge of this event taking place or I'm sure there would be more feedback and interest..

Shame on you Wargaming! Disappointed!

The world and Europe owe alot to this tank... so never forget your history guys.. as this tank may be one of the sole causes that you have the 'Freedom' to use the keyboard at that computer you are sitting at..

When i see this tank the first thing that comes to mind is the brave men that fought and died in ALL of them to get us all where we are today?..Lest we not forget..

...an amazing sight but at the same time emotional

Nice try. Though it did look like (by the pic) as though hardly anyone was giving a toss. Shoddy run-up?
