I continue to say, WORST IDEA EVER changing to the Wwise platform. You'vew pretty much destroyed the modding community for sounds with this and all for what? Getting different sounds from impacts to the tank accordingly to damage received and calliber of the gun fired at you?

If anything this only gives the player an incredibly annoying sensory overload and as if that wasn't bad enough, you've destroyed sound modding!

Please stop trying to sell this as a good thing to the players. We are not idiots! We understand what you did, you wanted to do something completly and utherly unnecessary. You've spent a lot of money on it for absolutly no good reason and now we have to deal with a MUCH WORSE sound system just because you were dumb enough to spend money on it despite it being far worse than your previous sound system.

I don't know about you but I've modded more WOT sounds under wwise than before. Install wwise SDK, install XVM and make it dump sound events in a log file so you get the event names for desired sounds and plow away. Quite simple actually.

So an IS-7 has a deeper sound than E-100, because RASHA COMRADE!

Besides, reworking sounds doesn't make maps more open, or remove arty from the game.

Awesome! :great:

I really like the sound improvement, it enhances the whole gaming experience.

I hope sound of damaged tracks will also be implemented in the future.

Guns still sound terrible when firing from sniper view, which is the view you use 80% of the time.

When i fire a tank gun i want it to sound like a giant [edited]cannon, not a PEZ dispenser.

Clearly, you have never fired a gun, let alone from a tank, right? Well, as an ex-tanker let me tell you that being in an enclosed space and removed from the muzzle by a thick wall of solid steel makes that sound somewhat different than standing outside with nothing to impede the shock front of the explosion gasses ;)

Aha.

So you added more - louder sounds, so when the glitching of sounds would happen, so it would be even more unpleasant - always making loudest calibre sound even when a Pz I C is shooting you.

Seems like you really want to pay for the wellfare of my ears...

yeah, yeah New Sounds ~

small cheap easy fixes (again

so just how will this improve the bad or plain terrible MM gameplay issues with the Turbo slaughter one sided 4 minute battles

Or

The zero cover small corridor brawling Maps which 'encourage brawling and die fast' with endless 4 minute slaughter turbo battles

Wargame? hmm?

Tanks with petrol engines still sound like lawn mowers - still no improvement there. Other stuff looks good.

Regarding comments like "FIX DA GAME/MAPS/ARTY/<blah> INSTEAD!"

You guys do realize the sound department doesnt have anything to do other then caring about sound?

You don't really want a sound engineer to do map design.

And. OH PLEASE. Spare your very smart, not at all forseeable "I think they can do a better job than current map designers!!!!" replies.

No, what I want is my guns to sound like a Nightingale's song, as I find that very pleasant to the ear. And instead of flames and that ugly smoke, flower petals come out of my muzzle. That's much more in tune with the nature.

But instead some insist on this ugly thundering noise. If they wanted to hear a volcano, they should visit one. You can find one in Italy, and there are a few on Iceland, depending on what's nearer to you.

Hang on a minute till WG get their sound engineers and mixers to drop what they're working on, go learn to code games instead, and then work on the matchmaking system or map design.

Always amuses me when people complain at stuff like this.  Wat to keep it on topic with feedback about the new sounds. The fact you want something totally different and not relevant to the topic counts for nothing.  You'd be as well as coming in here saying you like Pizza and wish McDonalds could do nachos, when the topic is about Burger King.

People don't really understand that job is divided within teams according to individual skills. Marketing people don't do coding, and programmers don't do art stuff (there is actually a thing known as "programmer art" and it features some of the most embarrassing attempts at art known to man).

It's just the entitled "I want it NAO!" generation. Nothing new to see here.

I am surprised to see that WG is tweaking loads of unimportant sounds but, we have been using female crews for over a year and a half, and we still have male voices when using these crews in battle. Ever thought about this? It just doesn't make sense, we need female voices. hahahaha
