Stopping idiots from insulting the enemy team will just mean they will spend the same ammount of time insulting their own team therefore the change makes no sense.

An idiot will still be an idiot, and as I say some of us like inter team chat. it adds a bit of humour to the game.

They will fix that too. In the next update, you will have to pay real money in order to be able to use the chat. they forgot to put this in this update, but they will remember because they only lick asses for money not fot the user's benefit.

And giving idiots option to get on your nerves with their mega stupid comments. I will be so glad not to see chat like, "reported for (insert random idiotic reason)", "hurr durr, I am the best you all cheat to keep up!!" "get cancer" etc.

Now when they die, all they can do is go to their garage and play next battle. So good job WG once again! :great:

I agree with gremlin.

If you can't cope with the odd insult then just disable chat. Don't penalise the rest of us who like a bit of banter. Have you ever heard some of the sledging that goes on at a cricket match?

With disabling battle chat, just disable player names of the enemy team. It will prevent that annoying XVM focus and now you won´t be able to communicate with them, so what is the reason to see their nicknames? Without battle chat its basically the same as fighting bots anyway.

So you want cross-team chat just so that someone can type "Hi" or "GLHF" every single battle? Isn't Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat etc a better solution if you feel the need to socialize? There's not a single good reason that 2 oposite teams should be able to chat. Removing the ability to chat with the other team will also disable the possibility to reveal allied positions, which is a really good idea.

It's not only about the insults, it's also to prevent spoiling of allied positions.

What would have been a better idea would be to introduce some sort of feed back system where if you as a player make a justified complaint against another player you are actually told what happens to that player when the complaint against them is upheld. At least players would then know that you actually do something about the complaints. As it stands at the moment there is little or no evidence that your processing of complaints actually does anything at all. For all I know you just have a huge complaints folder that just gets deleted every 10 minutes.

There is no reason to disable whole chat, just toxic part of it. I still want to be able thank someone in my team when they kill enemy to save me, roll me back on tracks and stuff like that. Oh yeah, and idiots can't reveal your position anymore, so that is another plus.

I like the damage panel. Now I don't need these mods that block the game.

Good Job WG with the damage panel.

Now all you need to do is remove XVM from the game AND limit the MM for tier 8 premium tanks. They should not go in tier 10 for the sake of GOD.

Some players will always be idiots and act like petulant 5 year olds in the game. but that is no reason to make changes to the game that some of the more adult players use.

I have grown used to greetings from players at the start of a battle

Commenting when we have had a good game and maybe even having a joke or two with players on other teams.

All that now gone because of idiots.

Removing the ability to talk to all players is a really bad idea, the idiots will just find other ways to annoy

They will still spam away throughout the game and will still need reporting so what does this "improvement" actually achieve.

Had you found a way to prevent players clicking the map continuously that would have been an improvement.

Having the occasional player rant about the enemy team or give away friendly player positions on the map is minor compared to someone clicking the map hundreds of times because players are not playing the game the way they want.

There is still time please reconsider

people give away positions to the enemy practically every game i see.. its disgusting, that alone is worth disabling the chat

they might find other ways, course they will, but why should you even be able to talk to the enemy? your supposed to be focused on fighting them, not oblivious to the game by having a discussion... that's for PM afterwards

people chat away in the chat about random things distracting everyone... that's not minor.. might actually make people focus a little more on playing and not typing.. you know.. the sole reason people are playing a tank game... wanna chat? go on facebook....

its not a bad idea.. if i see people saying "good game" its usually a snide remark or an attack at them in some way... its said only ever in a sarcastic manner.. do we really want that kind of behaviour?

update after update, still poncing around the edges and not fixing the real issues.

still wont be coming back for the foreseeable and my 'gaming' cash gets spent on more rewarding things.

Blanket disabling chat is a bad idea & kills the social aspect, i am sorry this has happened... surely another solution could have been made, such as: disabling dead players ability to talk to live players.

Not everyone joins plattoon or clans to be social, I liked talking to allies & enemy teams in game for that :(

There is still NO option to reported suspected cheating or use of hacks. And I did submit more than a couple of really suspicious replay.

Thank god there is no such option. The amount of dumb accusations is just silly. Today I was using "snap shot hacks".

Nice additions I feel the first time that the game is evolving... Great idea to involve talented modders and you finally got rid of the incompetent clowns.

if your alive, you shouldn't be talking to the enemy or your allies because your focusing on actually playing the game... and when your dead, there's PM + gen chat (or your own channel)...  talking about what you had for breakfast isn't something that's supposed to be talked about in battle chat....

so really... your just getting your allies and yourself killed because your typing

focus! you'll win more games that way

Removal of the crossteam chat is just sad. It's one of the few big things that contribute to the fun this game has.

Cutting off means for socialization in a multiplayer online game can't be a good idea.
