Stopping idiots from insulting the enemy team will just mean they will spend the same ammount of time insulting their own team therefore the change makes no sense.

An idiot will still be an idiot, and as I say some of us like inter team chat. it adds a bit of humour to the game.

Whilst that is partially true, the real driver for flinging insults around is getting killed by arty/autoloader/gold/etc. Because there are no second chances in this game, they are over in 5mins and you have different teams each game, there is no chance to sit and chat with people, no chance to build up a camaraderie. Removing cross-team chat and beefing up reporting options is the best they can do, in my opinion. A middle ground would have been stopping dead players talking to live players.

Humour? There is practically zero humour in this game. Someone saying "new map" or asking "is E5 good tonk?" wears thin after the millionth time.  Calling someone a "cancerous clicker" is not humour.

/edit: WG have definitely missed a trick though. They could have added some new comments to the comms rose. They should absolutely add "Thanks" and "Sorry". I'm wondering if they could also add some comm rose messages that can be sent to the opposition. e.g. Good Game / Well Played / Good Luck

This made my day and it's only 7:30am.

I agree. The game needs a clock in-game. If only stop me saying "one more game" and it's already tomorrow.

Sure you don't want an option there shut the game down if it has passed a certain point? Aka it is past 10 Pm and you just played a game... boom the client shuts down and informs you it is late.

great idea "should" have been implemented a long time ago but Wg are not interested in such things.

and yes there is plenty of humour in general chat.  If you remove the cross team chat you remove everything positive and negative.  Removing cross team chat is simply pandering to a minority who over react to it.

Its just a knee-jerk reaction from managers who never play the game implementing weak solutions.

Removing the cross team chat is effectivly turning a blind eye to the problem.

WG have quality control issues.

in the attention of WG team, I will argue that you can not use prohibited mod ways Not true They use all kinds of ways prohibited mods I know players who use such modes successfully and have not been found so far genus aimbot, artillery position after shoot, laser, show where breaks a tree or a building, aimbot to xpot or amorack. Some are found in all sorts of packages and promod ainfild etc.others buy websites WG team will not accept that this game allows such things shameful but this is the truth You will have a good game if not eliminate these illegalities And yet something quite serious for this game Why allow players very weak to reach a certain level As one who has wn8 of 100-200-300 to play the tier 8.9, 10 block other players not help the team Bridges conditions Not satisfy the condition does not go away and will be a clean and balanced game

I don't see it that way. I see it as instantly removing 50% (made up number) of negativity from the game and removing the ability (and triggers) to slag half of the people in the game. In the hope that more positivity will flourish in the vacuum. They are also adding the ability to easily block cretins and simplifying (and lowering the threshold) for reporting and banning.

On the other hand you could just look at everything WG in a negative light.

Oh so true, made me spill my cuppa with laughing.......

Agreed on a clock in garage to make the package complete.....then.....

Disable/remove 'res mod' folder from game folder and hopefully no more XVM warriors screaming win/loss chance and abusing people with below average personal ratings.

Where I come from a tomato is something you eat, a 'noob' is actually a newbie or someone new or inexperienced in a game. Also WG devise some coding that sends 240volts down any culprits keyboard that types in the word cancer in battle chat. Rant off.

It worked so well for the dry law, that they are doing the same because when something is forbidden no one uses or cares anymore for it. /s

I'd like an option in the garage filter to sort my tanks by top speed.  When I'm going through the daily doubles I have to pick my way through the garage to avoid big jumps in performance - e.g. going from an AT8 to a Cromwell isn't good for the senses.

This is what i was waiting for ... now we only need clock in garage and in battle (with real time) and we don't need anything else, then you can hopefully lock res mods :D

And giving idiots option to get on your nerves with their mega stupid comments. I will be so glad not to see chat like, "reported for (insert random idiotic reason)", "hurr durr, I am the best you all cheat to keep up!!" "get cancer" etc.

Most of that comes from your own team.  There is the option to mute players and to turn off chat, that should be enough.

I'm not that concerned by the chat options but then again i've got thick skin.

What concerns me is the marker system which tells you exactly who fired at you from where.

This is deadly for tanks which require stealth to operate like lights and td's.

You effectively get spotted in game, which is a bizarre change!

Really strange this has not rissen more complaints.

i still dont see a reason to ban all-chat...

why dont we do it like in league of legends? if you get reported for bad behaviour in chat, you get a chatban.

that would solve the problem.

also: why do people say they see positions given away nearly every game?

in my games this happens about once every 50-100 games.

Frankly, I'm not going to miss all-chat. 95% of the time it is just german, polish & turkish swearing or broken english like "aimbot reportet". The banter and fun convos are so exceedingly rare. The mind-numbing idiocy, on the other hand, is rampant and ever present.

New tank carousel: Good, the latest felt a bit clunky for those of us with many tanks. It fell short.

New markers: Don't really like that. Feels like a nerf for sneaky paper tanks. It is one mod that I feel WG didn't need to carry over into the game.

New spotting: Great! I really, really hope it delivers!

Reporting system: I feel spam and other inappropriate behavior shouldn't be lumped together.

There seems to have been a epidemic of it in the last few days.  It's as though some people only just realised that they can do it so they are giving away locations and HP levels while they still can.

Don't want to see all-chat go. Despite the idiots I've also had many good laughs there. Idiots will always exist, and they will just flood team chat now. Restricting player communication is not the answer. There are many better options, improved chat ban shouldn't be too difficult to implement?

Thirdly, the complaint system has been improved.

HAHAHA. please.... First get it to WORK, than improve it.

Improving something that doesn't work, still doesn't make it work... When you make it work, it means you FIXED it, but they didn't do that..., so reporting is still a useless option
