Trying to do Obj.260 MT-15, HT-15, TD-15 and acing a tier 1 tank. Hard to say what will take the longest time, really.  :child:

Only Tier I tank I have Ace Tanker in is the Chinese NC-31.

 

Battles: 2

Win Rate: 100%

DPG: 448

Avg. Spots: 3.5

KPG: 5.5

Hit Ratio: 86%

Avg. Exp: 715

WN8: 4043

 

And no I don't have replays of either battle (and even if I did, they wouldn't work now).

A pretty low base xp ace-tanker, and a game that wouldn't render you an ace-tanker in current T1 environment.

 

I asked support why it is so much harder to ace T1 now compared with earlier (last time I played T1), and why the required amoubt of base XP have went up from ~700 to above 1100. OP had a replay of 1300 base being a non-ace tank.

Almost a doubling in amount of required XP for ace tanks.

 

Keep in mind that there are plenty of T2-5 tanks that can be aced with sub 1k base xp.

 

Support answers, because of the noob-protection thing. . . .

The noob protection system has been in place for a while now, hasn't it (about a year?)

 

I'd have done mine back around when I started my current account (around August last year). Also bear in mind that figure is average XP per battle, not base. I probably had one really good battle and one okay battle.

After a short research on wotreplays I reopened my ticket (again) with this message.

 

So your explanation for having a the raising of required XP for an ace tanker from 600 base XP to 1300 not beibg enough is due to noob protection?

It is an increase with more then 100%. 

At 13:th of October 2016, 676 base xp was enough.
At 30:th of October 2016, 816 base xp (~30% more) gave a 2nd class mastery badge. 

And you claim this is due to noob protection? Which was, afaik, implemented a good couple of months before 13:th of October.

Checked profile in game. higgest XPfor your NC-31 is 731 xp.

WG just answered my ticket. . . . 

Answer: Noob protection. which was implemented long before 13:th of October, is the reason why there is not a single ace tanker replay after that date, despite there being replays with far far higher base xp.

But what's the mechanism ? Why does newbs playing with each other raise the average xp for a mastery? or is it a case of seal clubbers starting a new account?

Ask the customer support for that logic. because I don 't get it.

It just makes experienced players who wants a shiny M in their list having to play so much more, which makes for an even harder environment for the new guys.

Sounds like the opposite of "noob protection" to me. :P

I'm struggling to understand as well. I'm sure even seal clubbers in new accounts are not consistently getting 15 kills per game. Being a bug seems more likely.

It is a bug, definitely, and guys from support told me there is no need to be frustrated in the tickets, because they cannot change anything :D

Ever since "Proving Ground" was added as an option, nobody is able to ace tier 1.
Why? Because, admit it or not, Proving Ground affects the experience requirements for the ace class badge.

To define ace class badge: You need to get more base EXP in one game than 99% of the players in that tank in the last 7 days. And nobody has aced it for last... well, ever since the mode against bots got introduced.

A newb kills 15 bots in a game of proving grounds. He does not get an ace, because there is no ace for proving grounds.

A guy kills 10 tanks in tier 2 match with his tier 1 tank. High caliber and everything, but no ace. Even though it is the best game in last not 7 days, but 2 months probably, a newb got more exp against bots.

And support cannot make any changes to the game... :D

Who do we contact now?

Developers. Although, good luck with that. :)

 

Yes this is beyond support team, changes to the game need to be made to either ignore XP earned in proving grounds or devise some other mechanic to get around that issue. To put it in simpler terms, support team is here to oversee and manage databases (player data), and give help with using the game, while developers are the ones who make decisions how said data will be interpreted by both client and the server.

You get pretty much same stupid answers as I get.

 

CS could atleast acknowledge that there is an issue with this.

I have no personal preferences about this whole issue.

However, I am really pleased to see experienced players messing around with the very low tiers.

I find this very creative.  :great:

Mostly because I have aced every tank I have grinded (except arty), so when I failed in T1, I made some research (like OP).

Yes, they could acknowledge there is an issue. And by all means, they should see with the developer team what can they do about it. If they can :D
And ye, it's a part of the game. I don't statpad at tier 1 nor I have any plans to, but I'd still love to see it working once again.

This issue is very irritating, I have tried so many times.

9 kills on t1 cunningham, and only 1st class!

It is ridiculous. This bug must be fixed quickly, it cannot be hard to fix it by separating proving grounds form other random battles results.
