I agree with some people on this forum about the mod that helps with autoaiming while moving. I don't use that mod at the moment but with the vanilla client it is very hard sometimes to auto-aim on a target while moving yourself. I don't think it is cheating tho beacause it does not give any lead or weakspots advantages. But when i dont know for sure i won't be using it.

I wonder now something, will they have a system in place like Blizzard's Warden that scanned the game files or is this another one of these statements that aren't enforceable unless people report suspects for weird behavior and if so.. we read here that WG will act as god, I hope you really have proof and not 99% sure bs. If they don't scan the files then this is totally useless. As one dude from FAME said earlier, remove this bloody res_mods folder altogether, take it and put it inside a space capsule .. put it out there and then send a stalin nuke to end it.

Yet another useless news, unfortunately all you do now is to make people aware of what cheats are out there, but you cannot take any real actions to actually get the guys that use em, you can only punish them. SO my question is who are the players banned? for how much? Make a SPREADSHEET with all of them every week so we can ACTUALLY see what is being done, I have 5 players in my friend list that I know and can prove they are cheating, but they are still playing this game with cheats every day, sometimes also posting em on social platforms, so again SHOW us WHO, WHEN and for how LONG got banned.

Thanks, I love this game but I cant enjoy it because sometimes I meet to many players using AIM-BOT.

Please provide clarification if autoaim+ is also considered part of this. If so, please add zoom out mods to the bannable mods as well, as they improve the ability to use auto aim as well among other things that could be considered an advantage.

Thanks for stating out what is cheating and what isn't but some of the the descriptions is still quite vague. I still need a bit more clarification on a few points.

Can anybody from the support team answer if these mods are now considered legal or not:

1. Spotted enemies indicator. This mod shows a directional alert on enemies which are spotted/have vision on you/closer than certain distant. link

2. Reload timer only for the last enemy tank that hit you. Shown in the damage log area, not on the tanks models.

3. Prolong the duration of 6th sense icon on screen

4. Autoaim+. Let you acquire auto aim easier by just clicking near an enemy tank.

5. Battle Assistant. Allows you to have angled artillery view.

6. XVM in general. Hitlog, Damage log etc...

About bloody time. And give us the option to hide Our stats so we can render xvm completely useless regarding the stats.

Only thing that needs to be done with arty is to remove the chance to penetrate tanks, I'm fine with as long as I don't have to worry about those retarded 1 shot dumb luck kills.

This.

Some clarification on the Autoaim + mod would be good - It doesn't lead or target weakspots, it just makes locking on the standard autoaim easier (you still only target center of mass when locked on).

ooooh, this takes me right back to my old Dota days, particularly the infamous UNBAN threads on Dota Forums (http://eurobattle.ne...Unmute-requestshttp://dota.eurobatt....php?board=10.0)

Why I am writing this: I appretiate the will to address this issue, I really do (better late than ever I guess;) ) but I must fully support the TitaniuX's post - why not redesign the game itself so that res_mods don't need to be there at the first place?

Also, how will you decide who gets banned and who not? Automatically? I doubt you have data for such processes to be automated, but hey, if you want to flag players manually every time some kid reports "parple stetpedder", be my guest.

Don't take me wrong, it's the right step in the right direction, but it in current form it feels like it will struggle to follow-through..

I still don't understand why do you have to fight something that can be removed and solve the problem all-together.Right now, deleting res_mods folder will not allow the game to start. Why not do the opposite, and allow it to start without reading anything from it.

What about the mod which helps us autoaim while moving? (It is a classic autoaim that is provided ingame but the process of aquiring target is easier)
(Extremely usefull for fast mediums/lights which often shoot while moving)
Is it considered a cheat?

Hi pmakins,

If the mod provides more functionality than the “aim lock” in the vanilla client, specifically including those that aim at the enemy's weak spots and/or lead the aim automatically, yes. :)

Kandly

What people are trying to say is, is this mod allowed: http://forum.worldof...snappingaddins/

AutoAim Snapin. It locks the target at a slightly wider angle than the regular "aim lock", but once locked does nothing else.

Here is a useful idea - make a pop-up window in garage with text containing main details of this announcement (prohib mod description, ban policy, etc) and make EVERY player press that "Yes, I am acknowledged" before proceed to the game. In this case nobody can complain after actions are taken.
Trust me, your official website with all those minor and major announcements is not the best place to get vital information.

P.S. And how about that Battle Assistant mod for artillery? Don't you consider it "Mods that do provide a gameplay advantage, one that we think is bad overall for the game"? Vehicles that can shoot you from other side of map unspotted plus having same (sniper) aiming system as regular tanks? Seriously?

Illegal? I didn't know that WG had got a state somewhere in this world to make some WoT mods illegal by law.
