I'm looking to see what hints and advice some of you guys have for a) attracting new active members to our clan and b) for keeping players active. At the moment we have a "Clan night" on Tuesday and Thursday for skirmishes and take part in Clan Wars when they come up at T6 in particular, but it's the same 10-12 members taking part all the time.

How to increase this? Any hints?

Thanks in advance.

Its a tricky question to answer prenderb

The Dingers are one of the most successful clans, but we don't take competition seriously... very laid back

We have a great forum recruitment thread that many clan members participate in, which you might want to check out for ideas

http://forum.worldof...-goldz/#topmost

We also have our own forum, which generates a lot of interest and it's often very amusing

http://thedingers.eu..._id=unreadposts

Competitions also crop up from time to time, but this may need a lttle investment for prizes

Or maybe organise fun stuff like Madmen (MM) do when they have their race nights

These things are successful mainly because we have great people like joggaman producing fantastic funny stuff, so maybe find someone in your clan who is interested in setting this kind of thing up

Being in a clan is not just about playing the game, it's also about the social aspect

Hope this helps

Only 33 people in your clan played a battle last month, so bear in mind that most of your clan doesn't play the game anymore. You need to replace those people. Hardcore recruitment is your solution. That is the thing you need to put focus on.

As for how you can attract players: that's the hard part. Which ways of recruitment are you using?

I disagree.

There are no need to kick players until you find new players to replace them with.

When you are running out free slots in your clan than you might consider looking at active/inactive players to create more space for new recruits.

Where in my post did I say that he should kick all inactives immediatly?

That aside, the way you described is indeed the correct way. But whatever way he takes, he's going to have to get rid of the inactive players, and that was my point. Recruit & replace until there is no inactive player left.

Mostly the clan's recruitment page on eu.wargaming.com. Occasionally getting players from in-game platoons that existing members find. I think a more "scattergun" approach to recruitment is needed, and running through some of the recruitment threads on the other side of the forum that other replies mention.

We have a recruitment forum post but it needs lots of work! :P
