Hi folks,

So with WG only selling the Patriot version of the T26E5 and the Liberté version of the AMX M4 mle. 49 and other regions having the choice on having the skins or not, I decided I'd try to give our community team some information to take to the person who's making these decisions.

There's only so much a poll can gauge, please leave your feedback for WG in the thread below to keep it up and visible to others. :) thanks!

I would also very much like to have a M 41 90 standard version so I can PAY EXTRA to have whatever bloody camo I want on it...

I don't mind either way too be honest. just wish there were more camos to put on or more fancy decals that can be reshaped and sized [if such a thing can be done on big world].

I won't be getting the T26E5 though since I have no American tanks and won't benefit me besides the credit increase.

Say what you want but after looking at the Patriot camo the Liberte looks quite decent. :D

I hope the thread gathers the opinions from both sides so we can get a view on what the general consensus is on them. :)

Got both. Would have probably bought the version without the colors if there was the option but not having that option didnt stop me from buying them.

And the USA one is the easiest 3 mark so far :)

That is very true. The Patriot looks like some (insert your own word here) that has had his entire head and face tattooed. Like this: http://www.fullredne...e-Tattoo-14.jpg

Instead of making these garish fairground camouflages no one asked for might I suggest the following:

Give these new premium tanks unique but historical camouflage patterns used by their nation at the time of their (planned) introduction. So none of these nationalistic eye-sores but paint-jobs grounded in realism but which are not available for other vehicles.

There are *SO* many beautiful camouflage patterns used by all nations in this game which you can tap from, surely that would be much more beneficial than all of these made-up ones that make no sense.

Heck: If you need I'm willing to personally supply you the reference you need for these from my vast library of books, just drop me a PM WG staff and I'm sure we can arrange something!

Saw the reviews on both of them and liked what I saw.

Purchased the Liberte and found it lived up tot he reviews, so on the strength of that I have purchased the Patriot.

Would I prefer these tanks without their colourful camo - YES!

If the tanks had received mediocre or worse reviews the paint job would have stopped me even considering them.

But both tanks looked good in the hands of reviewers so despite the headache inducing paint job (I think only the next US President would like the Patriot) I purchased them.

Some people may ask "why not wait for the non camo versions", to which I would say, "you may have a very long wait". Just think for a second the AMX 13-57 has 2 versions in the game files the GF version with WG logos all over it and the non GF version. That tank has been in the shop a couple of times since it was first launched and it has always been in the GF version, so I would not be surprised if WG never release the Liberte or Patriot in their non- camo versions (I would be happy to be proved wrong on this). So given the choice of buying a good tank that I like the look of with a gaudy paint job or waiting for a non-camo version that may never come, I'll put up with the paint job.

PS I'd also have liked a version of the Skorpion and Blackdog without camo.

You do realise that there is already a non-redneck, clear painted T26E5 available to be bought, but on US server, right?

Make the cammo optional and you can drive in on Bastille Day or The 4th of July for shits and giggles. My objection remains that both are OP premium tanks.

They are supposedly supposed to be the functional equivalent (if you ask the matchmaker) of the VK.45.02, the KV-4, the Caernarvon, the 110 or the O-Ho.

Voted, I hope not too many trolls filled in the polls. Happy to see most players won't want the clown-cammo :izmena:

I don't mind the French one but the American one is a bit bubblegum.

The solution would be to have the camo switchable for a regular in game camo, seems like a simple enough idea.  Have the special camo as standard but you can select no camo or buy one of the normal ones.  I'm sure if that idea got fed back to the accounts department it would get implemented.

Yes...make it possible to switch the camo on or off to the players discretion. That is the sensible thing to do and please make the same with other weird camos such as the league nonsense written across the two light tanks.

Just to be clear WG I did buy the Liberte as I liked the abilities of the tank but am disappointed not to have the choice of decoration, unlike other servers which offer different options. After owning this tank I am not so sure I will buy another 'clown / console camo'. I like the ability to chose my own scheme for the vehicles I buy /grind.

I see that the T26 is 20% cheaper than the AMX.  Does that mean it is 20% worse?  The alpha looks a bit crap.

The £30 cost is the same as the whisky and cigarettes I will be disposing of tonight, so not a big deal.

The paint is a bit naff, but hardly a big deal either.
