Yo! This is just a small thing done at the request of Onisuzume and I'm namely just posting it here just in case anyone else happens to be interested in it. Just something quick to get out of the way, as I always do;

-the Marks have been replaced with Sakura Flowers instead of Hatchets, as per the original request. They may not be perfect examples of such but it's as much as I'll take the idea. However, as stated in the README In the mod, I've left the base which you can further edit yourself. Whether that just be to switch colours to something more preferable for you, or to actually just edit the flower itself, it's up to you.

-there are 3 Base versions; Dark Blue, Pink and Red. Simply copy+paste the "res_mods" folder from within the colour of your choice to your WoT Game files and it should work just fine. If there are any issues, please inform me.

That's really all there is. Here's just some small previews and the download, so.. enjoy. :P

I downloaded this mod and it has increased my Chi-To MoE by 7.5%! :medal:

Definitely worth getting. :great:

Hi Desyatnik_Pansy, I was wondering if you could help me out.

I also hate the vanilla Japanese MoEs, and went about creating a replacement. I followed It's_Mantra's guide on the WoTLabs forum, but my "creation" just comes up blank.

The imgur link is what I'm trying to replace the hatchets with.

Any chance you feel like helping a noob out? :P

So basically this?

Spoiler

Rather than following the guide, you could have just downloaded this mod and edited the existing "gun_japan_1/2/3" .dds files, as that's all I did. Not to be rude. I feel like the test I did above is a bit too close together though.

I attempted this, but upon viewing a tank in my client, the vanilla gun marks had been removed but my own ones simply were not displayed, ie the barrel was simply blank.

Would it be possible for you to post a screenshot of your "Save Configuration" window in paint.net, so I can see if that is where my fault lies?

Thanks,

SST

This?

Spoiler

The main question would be are you still saving it as a .dds or have you changed it to a .png or something?

Yes, that's exactly what I needed! :D

The guide from WoTLabs used different settings, but has not been updated for 9.17.0.1

Thanks very much for the help, that should fix my issue. :)

EDIT: With some tweaking it does indeed work now! Thanks again! :medal:

Hey Desyatnik_Pansy,

I was wondering if you could do me one final favour?

Could you take the final version of my MoE replacement and take a screenshot of it on your STA-2?

What can I say, I only have Japanese tanks with 1 mark (only just unlocked my Type 61) ... :child:

Many thanks,

Lol. I don't even own an STA-2. I'll do it for you still if you want, but here's a tip regarding Marks of Excellence stuff. First, find a replay by someone with any Marks on whatever tank you want (in this case, the STA-2). Say like the replay I used the guy has 1 Mark of Excellence. Say you of course want to see how 3 Marks look, let's just use your Marks here as an example. Assuming you already have the respective "gun_japan_1/2/3" .dds files; I would make sure you also have a back-up; delete the "gun_japan_1" .dds, copy your 3 Marks one and rename it to "gun_japan_1". Now, 1 Mark of Excellence should appear as 3, which saves having to hunt down replays with 3 Marks.

Just remember to delete it afterwards. I did such a thing for preview shots on I believe my Firefly mod, or atleast to help with modifying the Mark positions and forgot about it afterwards and for a good week I was wondering why so many people had 3 Marks on British and French tanks (as their Marks are shared). Took me awhile to catch on. :teethhappy:
