GJ WG. It is nice to see that you are trying hard to substantially improve the game. I highly appreciate that you are communicating important changes in advance (tier X light tanks, MM changes, etc.)

What about the changes in British tech tree? What about the Chieftain Mk.VI?

I'm clinging on to WoT in the hope that new maps will be coming or old ones reintroduced. As far as I'm concerned the general mechanics and game play is pretty good but even though there are 20-something maps in 'rotation' (although it rarely seems that I see a good variety on any particular day).

All the stuff you mention is OK, but if you really want the game to retain players, IMO you need more maps and lots of variety in those maps.

As far as I'm concerned, as long as team allocation is random, then I don't even mind if the maps are not perfectly balanced.

Come on WG - I like you and think overall you do a really good job, but I don't want to find a new game to play.

Exciting news! GJ WG. Looking forward to 2017

P.S.: more maps and tweak of some of the British heavies + introduction of the Chieftain Mk. VI would be nice too.

Very good news indeed!

Wot may be considered an "old" game, but I can see that they keep trying to improve it the best way they can,

I am genuinely excited for the additions to the German heavy line.

Keep up the good work.

I don't know what to say about this... At the same time I'm glad that you're trying to improve the game, but at the same time I get pissed off when you propose changes that will not make the game better

What’s Ahead for World of Tanks

Artillery: The improvement will limit these to a maximum of three per team.

This is a nice change, but 3 casino machines are still too much. They should be limited to ONE per team.

What’s Ahead for World of Tanks

Light tanks: [...] The combination of decent view range, compact size, great speed and solid firepower (with guns being just a little less powerful than those of medium tanks) will transform them into small and swift predators.

Another massive mistake incoming

You need to make the classes more different, not more equal. Light tanks should have excellent view range and mediocre firepower, not the other way around. What you plan to do is to make a new version of medium tanks that will turn all the old mediums obsolete.

What’s Ahead for World of Tanks

Currently, the penetration stats and great accuracy of top-tier TDs and medium tanks allow them to hit and penetrate well-armored frontal projection, even at long range. We’ll be tweaking their penetration stats and penetration loss over distance mechanic, as well as accuracy stats for all other tanks, to raise the role of armor and make it more fun to play heavily-armored vehicles.

Are you serius?

The reason armor is useless in NOT because of good accuracy, but because of gold ammo. Stop being so greedy and remove the damn gold ammo if you want the armor to work better, don't increase the RNG even more. You should buff accuracy values, not nerf them.

What’s Ahead for World of Tanks

For artillery, we’ll continue testing the “stun/shellshock” feature. We improved it a lot since the first Sandbox, so it's different from what some of you saw this summer. Also on the docket in this phase are aiming improvements, including the introduction of an alternative aim similar to Battle Assistant. The UI will undergo a few improvements as well and will provide you with important information about the stun: duration, radius, etc.

So once again you'll only focus on making it less frustrating to get hit by arty, but not do anything to make it more fun to play it? This class needs to hit where it aims and be usefull on all maps (including city maps), and you've not done anything to improve this. You just continue to develop the stun that IMHO is even more annoying...

Please don't spend a whole year just fixing things like in 2016. Some new non-premium tanks now and then are really welcome. And give us the Chieftain already!!!

I like the matchmaking changes.

Sandbox: I really, really hope you won't bring that stun stupidity to the live server.

Really looking forward to the new light tanks. And hopefully maps that allow them to shine.

The planned changes to the MatchMaker seems EXCELLENT, thank you!

the limit of 3 SPGs per sides have a downside though, as there will no longer be possible to get the medals for destroying more in the same battle.

Tier X lights? That will just turn this game into a laser tag. Games already last 2-3 minutes...

 Matchmaker Improvements

[...]

  •
  • Fewer easy wins and quick losses (these are usually caused by the uneven distribution of vehicle types between teams)

What actually causes easy wins/losses with current MM is its lack of taking into account the level of players. But distributing the vehicle classes evenly between both team is a good start.

1 arty is okay, 2 are a lot, 3 are already too much.

I have to agree with these two points.

With point one, I got the exact same whiff as I read it. The lights are gonna take over. The problem here is that Mediums are so powerful in the right hands. Light tanks need more of a purpose, which is true, but not more solid firepower. Imo, their accuracy should be pinpoint and their RoF high, so then when an enemy steps into the open and is spotted, they are hit with a small force, but enough to make them rethink their decision. If they decide to ignore it, they will die. It shouldn't be that lights tear up a medium. They should be a defensive deterrent, not a defensive medium tank with no armour.

Point two - I agree, but they're not willing to give up any form of income in terms of gold spending or what not because obviously, that is less business. However, it should have been gone a long time ago, and they should have listened a long time ago. I can't understand how anyone can defend such a patchy way of fixing tier balance. It does not give any benefits. It splits the crowd into the "OP pen" and the "Standard pen" categories, ruins gameplay, promotes the likelihood of people jumping to cheats. All of that because incompetent development. If you want to fix it a crack, you don't sellotape it. You fill it properly.

Unfortunately gold shells were the tape and well, like tape to a crack, it's both temporary and does not provide a concrete solution. No pun intended.
