Hi Forum

Long Story Short

In 9.16 i didnt have 1 single issue with the game everything ran like butter

In 9.17 since it was released on the first few days i had terrible ping issues, ping issues are getting better now  but i have the problem that i have micro FPS lags on start of the game and sometimes during the game for like 5 seconds (FPS goes from 113 to 50 and goes back) its really anoying. Its Not Hardware related cuz playing Games like Witcher 3, GTA 5 and other new titels i have no problems ath all.

Temperatures from CPU and GPU are normal.

GPU drivers up to date.

My Specs

I5 3570k

GTX 960 Strix

16 GB RAM

Does Anybody Have the same problems? and any ideas ?

On what kind of drive is WoT installed? Those might be Page-In hangers as the game has to post-fetch some assets not loaded previously.

Try a SSD instead. I have no such issues in WoT with it.

Alternatively try defragmenting your HDD*, but use optimized tools (such as: Ultradefrag) for that, not the default one shipped with Windows.

Because WoT uses BitTorrent, a download method well known for random accession of data, the patch might have fragmented your installation severely.

*) DON'T do this on a SSD. It's not necessary on a SSD and it will damage your SSD by breaking the wear-leveling algorithm.

As the game now preloads resources, a fragmented HDD should only result in longer load times into the battle.

OP, try running ping plotter pointed at the server you are playing on and see of it is your network.

Lag and packet loss do not negatively affect the FPS.

Yep.  The interwebs are probably your problem.

They shouldn't, but they do.

Do you guys also have the problem where you just randomly miss 5 frames and teleport a bit once every game at the start?

Whenever I climb and that happens it's 100% fcking me up :(

It can but usually only in extreme cases due to extra load on the system when the client has to do a lot of prediction.

You can't rule out anything based on other games being fine.

TBH though, if it is only dropping to 50fps it's probably just one effect that your system struggles with, or something like foliage or water rendering.

Mine is locked to 60 and since I installed the HD client and bumped everything to max I get a slight drop to 50 or so while it loads in all the textures at the start of a battle.  I did notice though the game ran terribly when I left vsync off and allowed it to run at over 100fps, sound was breaking up and controls were really jerky.

I notice that the game since the update is complaining about being out of memory far more frequent than before, sometimes as soon as after 5-10 battles.
