I've got Emil I. Sorry for this topic it's NOT OP it's a normal tank :).

"Every tank is OP until you got him"

Well next time maybe buy tank first or do some thinking before writing. We who have Emil1 knows its not OP att all, rather the opposite in fact. I dont understand how its classed as heavy. Maybe cuz its so slow?

Like they combined a heavy and a medium, took the worst of both and gave it an autoloader as compensation, then they broke the gun.

Update on Emil2 (stock). its horrible. i cant belive this is a heavy at all. the turrets too far back so when i peek people hit my hull. i had a IS-3 snipe my (i thought it was hidden) lower front plate from miles away meanwhile im aiming at his hull and hitting his turret and doing 0 damage. i feel like a massive free exp target for anything over 150pen. its disgusting how bad this tank is, im seriously about to cut my losses and just quit the grind. i doubt grinding the top gun and tracks/engine will make this thing usable. most maps dont have hills and then my tanks useless, cant sidescrape cant do anything right in this block of sh**.

Sluggish, turret turn rate takes forever and the armor as a whole is just sh**. russian medium tanks are bouncing more than this trash heap. they can angle and poke corners. MY HEAVY TIER 9 CANT DO THAT COZ THE HULLS LONG, PAPER THIN AND U CANT HIDE IT! this tank is a sh** heavy and a terrible medium. turret armor means nothing if you see a hull down russian tank that can bounce just as much as you and can punish you back just as hard. the emils pay far too much for that extra 2 gundep. the turret armor is a joke on anything but the front. i have bounced more from the side turret of my god damd mediums than this thing.

Long story short. stock grind makes me wana quit. i understand why i never see emils in battle now, they are specialists in being horrible in anything but hill maps. even then the way there armor layout is. they are nothing but free arty food because of the stupidly thin plates on everywhere other than the turret front (and ONLY the front)

Yes you dont see much Emil. I dont think it will change. I think this is weak thinking by WOT. Here is something else than a Russki copy...lets make it useless. In real life its probably the other way around.

Lol at the idea of them being OP. They are strong in one very specific scenario - when they are hull down and all the enemies are directly in front of you. When you have enemies a bit to the side they pen your turret, if they see your hull they pen you, if they see your side, HE pens you. For that you get meh mobility, long intraclip, bad gun handling. Yeah OP. LOL.

Looking in my Big Bag of Bothered i see a Fully upgraded Emil 1.

Teribad gun stats. Aiming and bloom utter trash.

Turret a 1 trick hull down pony and even then every scrub just loads Gold and Boom pen pen

Hull useless Paper

Engine from a lawn mower that is broke. Slow to accelerate slow to turn. Slow to reverse.

Camo is an utter joke.  It is the same height an USA T49 and 2/3 of the width. but camo is 600%  worse. its camo is 50% worse than a AMX 50B which is twice the size Just look at the models.

This Tank is an utter disaster lash up of crap. Nothing makes Sense. But you know  Wargammeing because" Balance"

If i  had not decided to stop selling non elite tanks this thing would be gone in the scrap yard so fast the paint would fall off.

Till then 1 game a day win or lose.

... I still think the Emil is rather good. Did a lot better in it than in the Emil II or Kranvagn.

Stock emil2 is beyond useless. not only slow as balls, but the Emil1 gun sucked on tier 8, now its tier 9 and it double sucks.

So it is standard tier 9 grind, who could have foreseen that...

Pretty bad even by tier 9 standards. Not only it has a poopy gun its also unreasonably slow.

At least you dont need to research the turret so there is that.

Is it pretty bad though? Have you tried playing E 50, ST-1 or T-54 stock? They are all terribly slow, unresponsive and undergunned piles of nothing good that get easily butchered by tiers 8...

Emil at least has the turret so it can pretend to play its role - depression and immunity to frontal fire while hull down. Most tanks on tier 9 played stock don't even have their main feature available.

Not saying it is better or worse, or that this is a good way to set up a game for grinding, but tiers 9 are pretty much all cannon fodder trash cans when played stock and it is a marketing decision to make it so that you are forced to pick one - your mental health or money for premium account, gold and such.

E 50 isnt nearly as bad as it used to be because it can use the 88 L/100 almost right away as you can research it from the Panther II. It does still need tracks (you can just buy the loadout equipment for the short time) but the "terrible" period is much shorter than that of the EMIL II.

Generally the old tanks tend to have worse stock grinds than the new ones, so there is that as well. T-54, E 50 and ST-I are all very old tanks.

So if I like the Leo I should stay with it ? I was scratching my head about the crew transfert of my girls ...

I hesitated for my next tiers X between Krangv and stb-1, which is too not really a big success on the battlefield.

Thanks.

[edited]the Kran. Sconq made it obsolete. Get the Sconq, Wz1115 or is7 if you want a semi mobile heavy.
