Supertest News: Tier VI Light Tanks

Commanders,

 

Today we are ready to share some details about planned changes to Tier VI Light Tanks which are required to adapt these vehicles to the standard +/- 2 battle level when LT branches get extended to all the way to Tier X.

 

If it’s the first time you hear about Tier X light tanks, check out our article “What’s Ahead for World of Tanks”.

 

Major changes to Tier VI lights include:
•    The clip size of French AMX 12t is reduced;
•    German VK 28.01 doesn’t have HE shells anymore;
•    Chinese vehicle gets a new single-shot (non-autoloader) top gun;
•    US vehicle will have just one single-shot (non-autoloader) top gun;

 

You can find new preliminary characteristics of the vehicles in the pictures below:

Please keep in mind that this is a preliminary set of features planned for future updates. The Supertest happens at the early stages of development - and involves checking the changes of a future updates and searching for the most critical issues before further stages of testing.

Finally i can play 59-16 without having to use 57mm with APCR spam in case i want to damage something..

A hint for the future: Include stabilization/bloom stats the next time. They are much more important than aiming time or hard accuracy to determine how good the gun handling is.

So basically remove anything that makes them fun to play and unique?

 

Why in GODS name would you remove the 10,5 HE shells from the VK? The tanks at tier 5 get this gun as well as do tier 4 TD's so stop removing all the derp guns from tanks (Hello T49) for the "balance" argument because it has nothing to do with balance.

Oh.  So sell all modules from tier 6 LTs, never play them again and just use the credits to buy something else?  OK.  Thanks for the heads up!

Who the [edited] thought that it would be good idea to remove 10,5 cm?

Perfect... Not only do you remove burst of AMX 13 90 and by the looks of it, completely destroy it, but you also destroy VK 28.01...

Bravo. If this BS goes live, I'm done. Not because I love VK 28.01 (which I do), but because this clearly indicates that whoever is "balancing" this game, knows [edited] all and is bound to repeat this [edited] mistakes.

Wow... first u fuk up tier 8 sh yesterday, today this... yeah lets make every tank almost the same... why remove auto-loader on 59-16? I rly hope you just added this gun, which would be nice, but that auto-loader is stil a option, because this tank is unique in tier 6 for that gun, and rly fun tank to play in tier 6 SH... same goes for VK, why remove derp gun?? I dont have that tank, but come on WG!! You are not balancing game, you are just making all tank more-or-less same! Removing unique tanks like derp T-49, auto-loader 59-16, derp VK... what's next? Remove derp from KV-2 and give him T-150 gun cause some little red bot cry that how is possible that derp gun one-shoted his cromwell? 

WTF wg, every new idea is worst and worst...

they are just weaker copies of the higher tier ones now

Well, the AMX 12t like all the French lights is truly f**ked with these changes.

 

There's no reason for VK 28.01 after the removal of 10,5 cm gun. It's too big and the 75mm isn't going to scare anyone.

 

The 59-16 needs a gun to replace the 57mm, but MT-12 does not?

 

The US lights got off easy, didn't care for the autoloader in the T37 anyway. 

 

All in all, bad for all except Chinese and US lights.

 

If you are removing derp guns you should do it across the board starting with the Type 4 and Type 5 changes, then the KV-2 and Japanese heavies and finish off with the low tier ones.

What will happen to xp which we spent for researching for the modules to be removed?

Will you give back those xp as free xp?

 

I am asking for all LT changes not only T6.

I would actually love to get all XP that I got by playing every tier 4+ scout in french and german as free XP, considering that I wasted my time on them.

 

Wishful thinking, unlikely to happen.

This has happened in the past on some occasions.  IIRC we got the D-10-T research back as free exp when it was removed from the T-34-85 and T-43 even though it was still an option on T-44.  Probably something we will have to wait until nearer the time to find out.

In the past with the E-75 (Top engine removed) we got the XP as free XP back.

From what i'm getting your plan is to nerf all lights and make the top ones same or a tad better than the current tier 8? Are you insane? Where is the balance in that? I would say you would be better leaving them alone and spend the time and brain power in actually finding a proper way to implement MM changes around the current situation because i can't really see lights be better than MT's nor to be muzzled. I mean if you intend in making lights be better at spotting and worse at biting then maps too need a total overhaul and remove small and city maps entirely. Not that i would mind by that but i have serious doubts you would ever even consider it because, let's face it you are lazy, and as long money comes in.. "don't fix it if is not broken".

I cannot say I'm surprised really When you no longer weight the lights tanks higher because of the +3 mm and they gain +2 -2 instead of +3 -1 its likely they will get a nerf.

 

I am a little lost as to why the ones that are getting moved up one tier are getting a nerf but hey not my circus I guess we will have to await the final list of changes.

Losing the 152 on the T49 is a pain but I suppose we get it back on the tier 10 so just have to grind that tank, just don't make me pay to unlock it if its the same gun I unlocked on the current T49

 

VK28-01 the buff to the 75mm is good that means its playable 132 pen way better than 110, as for the 105 if it keeps it then it depends on the ammo  selection.

If its just AP and HEAT Ill probably just stop playing it but if there some kind of none premium high damage round and I will carry on playing it,

They wouldn't be showing off 75mm if they didn't remove 10.5 cm derp gun. And penetration buff to 75mm is worthless, and even if 75mm somehow wasn't worthless, it's so dull compared to gameplay you got with derp gun. But hey, it's too hard for amoebas to keep track of different vehicles, so we might as well make them same, no?
