Sorry to see you go Tidal. Hopefully all you need is a break...Mine lasted 4 months.

It's the direction WG are going that's putting me off.Less tree/bush cover, open space for td's,lights.Being pushed down a 1 way street to brawl.I just don't like the current meta.Tbh although a couple of years ago a lot of td's where op the gameplay was better and offered more variety, the current meta.... lets all force people into a blob and slug it out crap.Paris,Stalingrad,Pilsen...they all just make me puke.

And good to know you'll still be around on the forums!

I'd love to say that you should return, because I'm also still playing this great game. However the reasons you're putting in make me wonder where the fun in this game is. Can't honestly find a way in which I'd blame you for your choice.

Shame to see experienced old hands leaving the game. The no premium account thing/attitude is a bit skinflint tho, you obviously played the game a lot, a prem account is like £2 a week - compared to some companies, who run true P2W games so full of bugs they're effectively scams (see DW5 for e.g.) it's really cheap. Try 0.A.D at the other end of the spectrum, that's open source, completely free, the downside there is... although it is a great game, very playable, it's still in Alpha release... it's been in development for 16 years! WG ain't so bad compared to the rest IMO.

It's always sad to see a core member go, especially if it's not because the game just hit its natural lifespan, but because it's slowly moving away from being the game that we loved to play.

Stick around for a while and look what the next bigger updates will bring. That's what I'm doing, too.

I wish you great fun & enjoyment with whatever game you'll use to fill the void left in your time.

It was a great honour & even more fun to toon up with you & it has lead to great & amazing games!

But I understand your need to quit/take an extended break. Not liking the evolution of WoT either, stronger & stronger armor with less & less weakspots & more recently the introduction of armored artillery (looking at you Types) to 'counter' it. Where is the skill needed? Where is the joy of bouncing all those high pen shells by sheer skillfull usage of armor? A good example would be my KV-4, it's thickest armor is 180mm, yet anything with less then 220mm pen will have serious trouble penning me in combat as many of my toonmates can attest :) , Tidal_Force among them :great:. But now you get tanks with armor that exceed even most pen values of their tiers, forcing gold ammo to be used (and let's not even speak of lower tiers...)

At least a lower tier has a chance of penning my KV-4 by a combination of skill & weakspots. And that's what makes it not so frustration to fight, you know you always have a chance penning a KV-4 with standard ammo. But the newer tanks? If your lower tier you're just free XP...

But you'll be active on the forums still, so that's nice. Then I also guess you heared the news that WG realized they overdid it a little with the buffs & are collecting data to retune it (What's the test-server for then  PR? That's a terrible way to use it!)

Also, this kill is for you:

KV-4 fears nothing!

If this is about not testing IS-7 yesterday, I forgot after two CW loses in a row...

But I refuse to let you quit until you find me +1 in SH who's gonna carry me.

Well, WG should indeed pay attention to this thread. While we've all pretty much seen Tidal Force on the forum, how much people are there that wouldn't be arsed to leave a notification of their leaving? To be clear, we're talking about people who are here for at least 2 or 3 years, and have seen the game in its previous stages. I'm starting to think that the only thing which is keeping us in this game is HOPE, that the World of Tanks will take a different direction from the current one.

Only run into you here on the Forum, especially under a different banner.. thread, I mean. Did I say banner?... I think. but it's always sad to see people go. What you posted seems to make sense, even with my extremely limited knowledge of the game mechanics, I can say something definitely feels like it's off.

Still, maybe we will see again here on the Forum!  :honoring:

I hesitate to ask what bukake might be.

It sounds Japanese to me, so maybe it's some highly stylized, artful and sophisticated thing the Japanese go for, like Haiku calligraphy, where you have to take care not to squirt your ink all over the place.

Q: You have M60, do you have any M60 codes? Can I have one?

A: Yes, I have M60. Yes, I have codes. Depends, do you have attractive daughter or sister aged between 18 and 30?

I have a hot sister worth at least 2 m60 codes... who looks 30... could that work?

lol.. in any case, good luck in your new games, as long as you and other long timers are still around in the forum i think WOT will stay afloat, this is why keeps WOT going for many of us. the fun of coming to the forums.

bottom line : keep writing usual wisdom for new forumites...

This might have something to do with the fact that WG doesn't seem to care about goodbye threads. Not to mention over a million active players per week in a 6 year old game...

Of course, the numbers are not official and should be treated accordingly.
