Hi guys

A few months ago i asked you that i was about to get a desktop in order to see if i could play WoT with maxed out graphics, at least with 60-80 constant FPS.

Most of you told me:

Build your own desktop

So i made this one and it is worth around 700€

PGV ASUS NVIDEA GTX 1050 TI ROG STRIX OC 4GB GDDR5

i5 7500 1151 3.4Ghz - 3.8Ghz 6mb cache quad-core 64w

8GB RAM DDR4 (random brand, ill see wich suit me best)

Motherboard (ill see the cheapest one that holds the i5 and my graphic card)

1TB HDD (i wotn go SSD for now)

and a 100€ screen (1980res)

I never built a desktop, and i never had a "strong" desktop in my entire life, so idk if any of you have one similiar to this one.

Will this desktop run WoT will all graphics maxed out with 60+ FPS?

Thanks in advance.

Building a PC is actually really simple, the components are usually designed to only fit in their correct slot and only in the right way. There are plenty of tutorials on how to do it, and a bunch of tech youtubers have even made videos of their 5-year-old daughters or wives or grandpas building PCs from ground up with nothing but verbal instructions :)

So, with your "Similiar" configuration....how much FPS you get running the game max graphics?

That video card is overkill for WoT (so is mine) but stick with it you intend to play other games.

Otherwise I have an i5 4690 at 3.5GHz with a GTX960 and get 61fps (capped to my screen refresh rate).

You will, 61 means he has a 60Hz display and has vsynch on.  There's a bit of a rounding error with WoT.

90 should be easily achievable if you want to but I doubt you will notice any difference, and unless you have a faster display it will just be a number.

Please don`t buy the cheapest. Go for something decent. If you can afford it go for something with a B or Z chipset. H chipset just sucks.

I will have that on mind then, thanks.

I can get more than 60 fps, but having them with a 60Hz frequency monitor is useless since you won't see any difference :)

If you wanna see more than 60 fps for real, you need a monitor with a higher frequency :)

First of all, no, that's not how it works. Would you please explain me why it would be better to buy a B or Z chipset motherboard over a H chipset one? The only thing they offer over it is more ports, slots and connections and the Z chipset offers OC'ing on K CPU's. Long story short, there is no use in buying a more expensive chipset when you are not going to use it's features anwyays.

OP, as for you, your list is still missing a case and a PSU. Besides that, I would wait for Ryzen to be fully released because it seems like it will outperform intel with all of their series, and if not it will at least lower the pricing of the intel chips most likeky. Where do you live because then I can have an idication of the pricings and perhaps make a list for you.

It is how it works, i work in IT and i see plenty of people go for the cheapest boards and PSU`s and than they find they can`t upgrade, improve or expand their build.

Rather than put a wall-of-text here i will put a link where very qualified people explain why it`s better to go for something with e better chipset than the cheapest one.

I know you shouldn't cheap out on the PSU, but the H110 offers just as much upgradability as the Z170 chipset. You have no use is spending more on a Z170 or Z270 when you're not going to OC. There is no use in buyinh H170 or H270 when you won't use RAID. The best choice for would be B150 or B250, and all that offers over H110 is more sata ports and usb ports and that's it. So tell me, why are you telling him to spend more money when it's not needed? A Z motherboard will not make your PC perform better than a H110 motherboard when you're using an i5-7500
