pretty much the title...

ever since I bought this tank I've have nothing but issues with it, I have full camo on crew, camo net, bino's, vents, and the M7 just seems to beat it in all aspects.

I've tried passive scouting but the view range is anything but decent, the camouflage feels a lot lower than the stats say it is.

"play it like a support medium"... oh my where do I begin to start with this one, 1, the HP make it anything but useful in a firefight 2, is a very large target(for a light tank) and 3, the gun...

oh my

the gun... 128mm pen when getting into tier 9 games almost every battle is almost like playing the AMX 40 stock in a tier 5-6 game.

I don't know what else I can do with it other than just totally skip it, I honestly don't know how people can even say its their best tank.

Yes, that's why nobody plays it.  Free exp past or wait for the light tree rework when it will hopefully benefit from normal +/-2mm.

I haven't played it myself but looking at it on tanks.gg it appears to be essentially a rather slow Type 64 that doesn't run out of ammo all the time. I can see the top speed being an issue but passive spotting should work just fine.

It must be rubbish - its the only one I have 3 marks in. I find it OK really - doesn't shine in any specific area but a decent all rounder.

T20 however, that's a fine tank :)

I rather play my t21 than my t20 or t37. For me it is just an allround light tank that doesn't shine in anything but isn't too bad at anything either.

The fact that I dont really like the t37 is probably because of the bad crew skills tho..

And the fact that nobody plays the t21 is probably the reason why I am close to the 3rd gunmark (92%ish).

I prefer T21 vs. T37... hipster tank as KV-13 or Churchill TD.

Compared to MT-25: more dmg, pen, DPM, better gun handling (even without v.stab), gun depression, view range and camo. Worse accuracy and speed.

Compared to T37: better gun handling, DPM, mobility (except speed) and camo. Worse penetration, accuracy, hit points.

Compared to Type 64: better DPM and gun handling (because of v.stab). Worse speed and camo.

Tech tree slightly better version of Type 64 imho. Also, I used it with decent results in skirmishes when it wasn't even buffed... 2 years ago maybe? can't remember. Sold it afterwards, now it's even better. I might buy it back, it's ridiculously easy to 3 mark it.

it's a tier 6 scout, what are you comparing it too??

compared to all other tier 6 scots:

-390m viewrange is the best

-128mm pen is above average, only T37 and Amx12t have better ones

-the mobility is above average

- -10° gundepression is the best

- dpm is really good, only 59-16 has a higher one, iirc

I really loved my T21 back when I grinded it, my average damage per game is much higher than in any other tier 6 scout

I never played it as I went down the Bulldog route like most players but looking at it's stats the only major problem I see with this LT is it's laughably shite top speed. Looking at everything else, small size, decent camo values, power to weight and a VERY healthy 390 view range for tier6.. I see no reason why this tank can't be used as a very effective passive scout with a set of vents, optics, situation awareness and either a camo net or binocs, I favor binocs since my LTs tend to already have decent camo values combined with my good knowledge of maps to remain concealed, typically move around the map and that extra camo negating view range binocs give against those sneaky TDs and other LTs.

Poor pen and HP? well your not a front line brawler nor a medium so not even close support imo, the accuracy is also really poor which would suggest to me the idea WG Devs have or had for this LT is to get in behind the enemy unseen in the later stages of winning fight after you have done your passive duties and kill TDs and Arty, even finishing off damaged tanks of other classes that are distracted by your advancing team .

Speed needs a buff imo, for passive scouting the first few seconds of a match are crucial to race to a vantage point and spot enemy tanks before they reach you first and 56kph just couldn't really allow an LT to do this without the likes of an enemy Chaffee or many other quicker LTs getting to their spotting points first and showing you instead. It's also nice to be able to light the afterburners and get out of trouble when u get spotted or enemy tanks are clearly heading your way but haven't seen you yet.

I hated this  because it was my 1st t6 LT and I didn't know how to play LT.

I rebought it after a year:
Put in it a new 75% and managed the 3rd mark. If you have experience in Lts it is a good tank.

I agree. It is not the best tier6 scout but it is definitely not a bad tank. Decent mobility, excellent gun depression, ok dpm, excellent viewrange. It could have better pen but that can be compensated with number 2 when needed.

How can a tank with mobility, small profile and -10 gun dep be considered bad by any1? (and v-stab on t6.......)

I played it back at my noob days and still remember how good and player friendly it was. That remind me i always wanted to re buy it!

Comparing stats of all t6 lights this tank look more like med/light hybrid then pure light spotter and that they way it should be played.

Never found this a fun tank, on paper quite similar to the type 64 which I really enjoy. Think its the lack of top speed on the T21 that kills it for me.

T21 is just a meh tank. Not bad not great. An all around tank.

T20 is a good medium though. If it had better dpm it would be amazing.
