Before it came out I had it on good authority that it was OP and going to ruin the game. Then when it was released it wasn't that good and only bad players drove it anyway so who cared. Now it seems to be OP again.

Any help in solving this would be most appreciated. Confused of Tunbridge Wells (Royal).

Tier 10 armour with a tier 9 gun at tier 8? Da comrade, balance.

EDIT: Last night I watched a 47%er Edited  off through the middle of Himmelsdorf, bounce my IS-3 off of its lower plate and end up dying in our cap after 3 tanks had circled it and were shooting it from point blank range. I doubt an IS-3/6 would be capable of that.

The only tanks tier-for-tier that I have seen do that are the superheavies. Difference is the 252 moves a whole lot faster as well.

Most of the Defenders/Object 252 I see ingame, the player has the same win rate on the tank as on his overall account. So a 45% win rate player averages a 45% win rate with the 252, and a 53% has a 53% win rate in it. To me this does not make it an OP tank, they are a pain in the butt to deal with, but can still be dealt with.

It's not like the KV220 or T-22SR when each of those seemed to increase the players win rate by about 4% minimum. So even a 56% win rate account driving a T-22SR seemed to get a 60% win rate in it, or a 52% win rate player in a KV220 will get a 66% win rate in the KV220.

I didn't really buy the OP thing, but I thought it was a hard nut to crack... then I dueled one with my jgTiger 8.8.

I facehugged it, thinking it was just my last, desperate move.

Well, to my surprise, I penned its turret every time.

To my bigger surprise, it never managed to pen my superstructure.

Just IMHO, but this is nowhere as OP as the damned Patriot is...

Can a 45%er yoloing around in an FCM 50t influence a battle the same way a Defender can? The amount of focus and stopping power they take is ridiculous for its tier. Its up there with the tier-for-tier idiocy of an O-I. That is an IS-7 hull. At tier 8. That can see tier 6 tanks. Plus it has excellent mobility for a heavy.

I'm struggling to understand how anyone can make excuses for it.

The Patriot and Liberte are no better either though, this just seems to be WG's new direction.

+1

Only players which buyed one are defending this tank, and idiots ofc.

While such tank has nothing to do at T8. Its foking better then T10 (old IS8) which is T9 HT!

End yes, the AMX & Patriot are also better then regular tanks, but not so OP like 252.

This is way wrong. When my T34 get buff, so that i can play it again?

I had a funny game today. I killed an obj252u from full health on the map Sacred valley in a skorpion G. Not from distance, but fighting around the corner. Yes, 3 shots.

That doesn't make the obj252 less OP. But there are a lot of players who don't know how to play the tank.

Vs the last few tier 8 premiums? No, not really. Even the DPM is bad. It's just did really well for a bit for 2 reasons I suspect. 1: Good players mostly drove it. 2: Bad players had zero clue how to pen it. I left an E75 last night in my VK B to deal with an IS-6B and Stock T-30 on the flank. When I came back... E75 with the top gun still had done zero damage to it.. Then again the 252 had only gotten 1 pen on the E75.

I noted a purple reroll start another thread earlier about it being OP........I reckon he's worried about his colour....not so much about the tank.

Perhaps he can't afford one.:P

It's a solid slab of armor with a hard punching gun.

Mine feels like I'm in a rolling sauna with all the hissing HEAT rounds hitting the armor.

People spent a year moaning that the Japanese heavies were OP until they finally learned how to deal with them.

I killed a full strength 252 the other day with my 112, head to head, one on one, and the 112 supposedly has a gun so bad that its not worth taking out of the garage.  The 252 didn't scratch me.

Bad? It's an IS-6 gun with 250 pen on prem rounds. Far from bad

If you are a good player then the tank is considered OP, but the tank is not idiot proof!
