Anyone noticed that sometimes when you click something (links) on WoT website or in forums, you get redirected to random online gaming websites?

This happens sometimes, at random times. No viruses here, and i am using a clean, freshly formated machine, is there a "undercover" clickbaiting scam going on to redirect users to external unsafe websites, that pay per click? If so, that's a new low for WG.. If not, what is going on?

Freshly formated machine, no viruses present (Avira) and no malware (Malwarebites) detected..

I just got this while browsing a thread on the forums, and i get this while browsing the main WOT website too..

Happens sometimes, not frequent, but...

I'd have to agree with this, since I fail to get any weird scamsites while clicking random line on the WoT site, so I'm kinda disappointed about that; could've used a good laugh.

I think you should do a very detailed check in case of malware, because this looks quite suspicious.

Freslhy formated, no malware, no viruses, nothing. It's clean. Other site i find redirects to is "onlineguru.ru".... (russian maybe?)

Also, this happened not today, but from some months ago. If it was my pc, it would be happening in several websites, no matter the domains, and it only happens on "worldoftanks.eu" domain and on the forums subdomain, nowhere else, and i spend a LOT of time browsing the web, so it would have appeared by now somewhere else.

Oh, logged in through Chrome.

Check your extensions. Chrome syncronizes those when you are logged in, so it's gotten syncronized from your old computer. Remove all extensions that are not made by Google, redirect goes away.

Antiviruses can't detect Chrome extensions since Google sandboxes them, as part of security, so they can't infect other areas of your computer.

Either you are compromised or the DNS server you use is or your ISP is.  Or your ISP is doing it on purpose.

Hmm must have had a brainfart..

20+ years of computers in me, endless times working out issues on other ppl's machines, and i didnt think of that!?

And it worked! old extensions where creeping back and installing themselves after i removed it.

Xino9922, you nailed it kind sir.

Problem solved.
