Browsing the premium shop before I purchase another Fort Knox because that's what we do on Wednesdays and I'm presented with a selection of PayPal Best Buy offers, as illustrated.

I already have an M56 Scorpion so I'm not going to choose that but a bit of gold is always useful and all the better if it's discounted. One question though, how much gold?

No, really ... how much gold do you get?

The closest full-price gold offer is 5,500 gold for £17.11 but it would seem that I have to buy the package before I'll know for sure.

For me 5500 gold is exactly £17.65.

Must be another benefit of being a Dinger or Premium Shop Frequent Flyer, as WG like to think of us.

It clearly says "ton of gold", so you get the amount of virtual gold that weights ton.

That's weird. I've got that but typing 5500 gold into the manual option it comes out at £17.65.

It's probably a rounding difference, where the 'any amount' option multiplies it up differently than the price set for the fixed amount. Though I didn't think to try the manual option when I made my first post, so good catch there. :)

I'm busy checking if the same offer is available in the other premium shops. I don't really need any more gold (or doubloons) but as said, they do come in handy ...

There's also the possibility of other offers soon with WG's anniversary approaching so I'm weighing up the pros and cons of getting the gold now or the gold and 30 days premium or waiting to see what discounts come up next.

I'm also pondering the purchase of a T-34-3 ... because I hate myself and I must suffer.

To draw a line under this thread, it's 5,500. And you can use the one-off PayPal offer in each premium shop so as gold is shared between Tanks and Hairyplanes ... :harp:

Today? Can't find that offer anywhere.

Yep. It says that it's available for you (i.e. me) on the offers though, I suspect it's like those pop-up tokens you sometimes see in game which only apply for you personally. WG have probably identified me as a gullible twit with a loose grip on his PayPal account, which I'm not really in a position to deny.

At least I decided to wait and see if they're going to offer a discount on tier 8 premiums later in the month though. No T-34-3 for me today. That'll show 'em.

Just checked and the ones I haven't bought are still showing for me.

Only one per premium shop and Warplanes gold is shared with Tanks while premium time can also be found in Boats. ;)

I'm not seeing the packs I've purchased any longer but I wouldn't be surprised if they popped up again. WG does seem to be quite fond of money, after all.

Are you able to buy it? For me it always says "Sorry, something went wrong!" and now the packages disappeared.

The offers I didn't buy are still showing up in the Specials and Featured pages but I'm not buying anything else.

I don't know guys. I had these offers, when I tried to buy something, couldn't. Something went wrong every time. Now no more offer... :(.
