I miss the speed the acceleration the dpm and the penetration, tank is utter shite now with nothing going for it apart from camo but too blind to spot effectively

ELC was doing fine in T8 games. You are facing T3 tanks now. Is it really so suprising tank had to be nerfed?

I can do with less pen, worst gun handling, reduced HP pool....but the mobility nerf is just too much.

Concerning meeting tier 3.....that's really a RARE occurence,as ELC gets much more tier5/6/7 matches than tier 3/4/5 ones.

#MakeELCgreatagain.

Give me my engine back, you bast***s!!!:izmena:

Nearly 20 games since update...still no tier 3 tank....meet occasionally tier 4, but mainly tier 5/6/7.....

This tank is a joke. The easiest thing they could have done is put it up to tier vi and leave it as it was. Instead in the name of 'balance' they got rid of the gun, nerfed the reload, and gave it a tier 2 engine.

Yes it was, when played by a capable player. And we who came to love that tank wanted it to remain untouched AND in tier 8 battles. We wanted it to remain a "one hit and you´re dead" tank, a tank where you could spot the entire enemy team without being seen, and then lob in 240 DMG on an IS-3 frontally before swooshing off like a fart in the wind only to reappear at another location 25 seconds later.

We wanted it to remain as is. We all wanted to always play in tier 8 battles. Always! Those were the fun battles, and almost made grown men feel giggly when realizing that yet again we were at the absolute bottom of the team set up. Anything else and the fight might be interesting but it was those tier 8 battles that made the ELC into the beloved tank it still is - as in the memory of it.

This now abomination of a tank, this nerfed, severely crippled ghost of its former self... it is not the ELC any more. It has become something else. Like an athlete turning junkie, like a three legged horse trying to race, like a bird in a too small cage. The movement, the occasional firepower (and the very frequent misses!) and the thrill of chasing after a T34 while trying not to get oneshotted... It is no more.

To the ELC we raise our glasses and cheer four times! We drink in remembrance as our tears rolls down our cheeks!  ELC! Dead, but never never forgotten!

Played the ELC bis last night,  am thinking of selling it, as a T67 is faster, surely that cannot be right?

I tried playing it again for the 1st time since 9.18, last week.
I do not feel there is any point in keeping it now, even though I have 3 marks on it.
It's lost it mojo big time...

How good is this thingy in current meta? I played ELC before LT rebalance with mighty APCR, but what use now? 90 or 75? Equipment? Is it worth it?

Don't sell it yet, better accrue some free XP on it as it may be the tank from which the wheeled vehicles will branch off.

Old ELC was much more fun but people complaining it's bad now are crazy. It's still a super strong tank. Even more so. 240 alpha on a fast tank with elc even camo? In t5 where most tanks don't have 440 vr? LOL.

My main argument with the current model is that it does not have the engine the original had, I mean the real tank.

I believe also the original tank with the 90mm, could traverse the turret 360 but only while stationary Driver had to move his legs to let it happen.

How about a fast ELC that could enter siege mode ;)

Anyway if it just had that specific power back I would be more than happy, I play it with the 75mm gun now and as a pure scout

If it had the original hp/t back even with the 75mm gun it would be OP as balls. It's already super strong. I don't want to Jinx it but I'm going for 3 marks in it and I'm sitting at 70.5% Wr currently.

Maybe the upcoming armoured vehicles will give the old elc feeling back... I certainly hope so

Wouldn't call it super strong its decent enough but in most cases where it meets other light tanks its pretty poor and of course it can meet tier 6 and 7 lights.

Its still got great camo and the 75mm is ok though you can bounce shots, they should have moved it up a tier when they changed light tanks.

To me its ill thought out I think they got in a bit of a panic over the protests and went with the current changes.

It was a unique but tricky to play light tank come TD they nerfed the gun because otherwise it would be too strong, then after protests came up with the smaller gun and fully rotating turret, then nerfed the engine.

They could still have given us the old ELC at tier 6 but wanted to add that BC 12t so some got moved up a tier others not.

3 marking it should be not too bad for a good player, I managed to 2 mark mine and im pretty average.

If you're judging a tanks performance only in 1 vs 1 situations then you're doing it wrong. Also So what the ELC can meet higher tier tanks? It's still better in that fight than a kv1 vs a t29. Heavies are hit the worst by +2.

Also you forget it has ELC EVEN 90 camo in a tier where 95% of the players don't get full view range so in effect it's probably one of the hardest tanks to spot in the game and it has a 240 alpha gun. So you can 2 shot enemy lights from hiding.

LOL. What a bad tank :D 3 marked in 71 games only because I had a run of stupid play by me for 10 games. Easily doable <60.
