#Make ELC great again

Back to the ELC (Which I ditched after 9.18), because of armoured cars.

 

It doesn't have to be "great", but it's thouroughly unenjoyable and really wish something would be done about that, like speed (it falls off extremely quickly uphill) or guns that matter. As it is, I think I'll free XP through this

I hate it that this vehicle gets slown down to absolutely 0 when meeting any destroyable object on the map...

All it needs is the historical engine back again.

Given it was a unique light tank and very popular they should simply have moved it up a tier and left the gun engine etc as they were.

Problem was they had no tank to replace it at tier 5.

Suggestion premium tier 6 ELC with original stats

I grinded my ELC 2 years ago, that little bug was a blast to play, then i moved on other tanks and forgot about it and now with the armored cars coming i decided to get a head start up the line and grind the 30k exp for the tier 6. So i bought back the ELC, clicked the battle button and was like WHAT    THE   F***!   Now, i heard nerfs hit it bad, but i never supposed it would be that bad, not only is it a guaranteed oneshot for every derp tank rolling around but they also ruined the mobility! WHY?!?  A pen and gun handling nerf for the 90mm would have been enough!

Its still a nice light with the smaller gun and full turret but mobility has been ruined.

So I'm playing it again and I find it decent. They nerfed it hard but it was OP so...

 

I find 75 mm gun rather useless. Sure, you have almost 400 DPM more but you need 3-4 shots for enemy TDs and LTs or 4-5 shots for mediums which means you kill everything (except same tier heavies) faster with 90 mm since the first shot is free. It's also a better gun for bottom tier battles because of alpha and better penetration - it takes barely any effort to score a few hits and get good XP.

90 mm offers a different and interesting gameplay while 75 mm is just your average, boring tier 5 tank. It's worth mentioning that even with a fully-traversable turret you won't circle anything because the tank is rather sluggish and with 320 HP you can't take any hits.

 

You can get ~40% camo quite easily which is broken for a tier 5 tank. Get binos, spot something, shoot it for 240 dmg, hide during reload and repeat. 1k+ damage games are rather easy to get and this means a lot of XP without relying on your team to do damage for you (which rarely happens in tier 5/6 battles...). I still do a decent spotting whenever possible but let's be honest - when you get into tier 6 or 7 battle you won't be doing much spotting since tier 6 and 7 LTs outclass tier 5 hard.

 

ELC lost its former glory but you can still abuse camo, view range and a big alpha in it so it's rather painless grind. I can't say that about other 5 lights and their pew pew gun with less than 100 mm of pen - especially when you get tier 6 or 7 battle.
