I had some hardware issues and as a consequence I am now running a whopping 64mb of dedicated v ram. and I wonder what retro games I might enjoy on such a rigg?

 

im currently downloading age of empires 1 and 2. any other ideas?

Could try Star Wars Battlegrounds since it basically uses the same game engine as Age of Empires 1, the old Command & Conquer too which are mint.

Starcraft Broodwar since it`s now free and you can play with friends online, some of the old need for speed series (like Porsche), CS 1.6 should be fine.

What about an emulator? SNes and Nes games can be very entertaining.

you could also install ScummVM and grab some games.

If you didnt play "The Dig" yet I highly suggest you do so.

Defcon is truly a great game, nobody wins.

the rest of that collection is also geat: "uplink" for example. :)

 

regarding that USB controller,

look for "RetroLink NES USB"

ScummVM is nice, but I prefer WinUAE. I have always liked Amiga versions more. (I presume we are talking about Lukas art's games)
