Which arty would be the best currently (t7-8) for arty missions? (t28 htc and t55a)

Tier 6 M44 for all those missions that just say stun or damage lots of targets.   For the assist be stunning, something with a bigger gun and as high a tier as possible.   I use M55 for them but that is tier 9.

Tier 7: GW Panther.

Tier 8:  M43

between the two the M43 is by far the best.  If you can't complete the missions in the  M43 with all top modules and 100% crew with skills, then you are not able to complete them.  Just my opinion though.

Also Hummel & M44 are nice and M12 isn't bad.

Soviet arties are frustrating as hell and french suffer from low splash and low shell arc. I suppose Fv207 or what ever it's called ain't too bad.

If you haven't played the SU-8 since the changes, I recommend a revisit to it.  I have been playing it a lot lately in quest of the 3rd MOE and have really begun to like it.  It has faster aim time, is more accurate, more dpm, and better view range than M44.  It also has better view range and longer stun duration along with higher alpha damage and pen.  I still like the M44 better overall at the moment, but the SU-8 is really good too.

But isn't the turret traverse frustrating on pretty much all of them and switching targets is slow and makes you likely just miss a shot?

I've only played a couple soviet Spg's at my friends so most of my assumptions are made by reading about them.

Thing about Hummel and M44 & M40/43 is that they can easily change targets with less dispersion. That' why I prefer US and Ger spg's when recommending. The french had so low shell arc that it just drove me crazy. From UK line I got berty but haven't bothered moving further, because I don't really enjoy arty THAT much anymore.

M53/55 is kinda all you need. I guess I'll get me a GW Panther too to help with the missions.

Yep, M44, M43 and M55 are all sweethearts of mine.  They are really well rounded artys.  The GW Panther too.  These are some of the best in the game in my opinion.

The gun traverse on the Soviet artys is terrible for the most part, but with the better gun handling characteristics since the rework it doesn't bother me as much as in the past.

I like the higher tier Brit artys....well everything except for the Crusader SP.  It made me almost not want to grind to the CGC...lol.   The FV207 was not my favorite before the rework, but I plan to give it another go in the near future.  It is as slow as molasses on a cold flat plate with horrible camo stats to boot, but it has a nice gun.
