Originally made by J1mB091, since it was discontinued by author himself I decided to maintain the mod.

Before me there were russian modders that took up mod, but their version was noticeably different. Until I made my own version in 0.9.16.

I did some changes, improvements, fixed errors (as much I could) and brought english translation back with 0.9.18.0 version.

Copy the "mods" folder to: "/.../World of Tanks/".

Files from optional folder put inside:

  • arty and aim                             "/.../World of Tanks/mods/x.x.x.x/J1mB0"
  • UGN aka Gun Constraints       "/.../World of Tanks/mods/x.x.x.x/"

Great to see someone caring for the best Crosshair. Does this mod differ in any way from the original or is it all the same?

Difference would be ammo clip position, since i can't properly pinpoint it (doesn't have any other preview than game) and one gun marker that i decided to remove - 'V'. Other than that should be the same. If there would be any problems with this crosshair and arty from another mod, I will try to do something about that.

Optional files for aiming circle - in progress...

One of the key thing to making the original great was the RNG aiming circle indicating where most shots will land.

Otherwise it's just decoration.

(edit: fixed redundancy)

Well... To be honest it may be just decoration now, of course if rng hit spread didn't changed much then double circle still does it job.

Edit: If I will have information and given some tips, I could adjust circles.

iirc, last change was with patch 9.6 though further changes were tested on sandbox.

In that case, double circle still works fine, because j1mb0 would have changed it, since last time he made crosshair was in 0.9.15.

Added preview images, just click spoiler, at the end of it is some info about them. Small update:

  • Changed ammo counter position, since couldn't change ammo clip position on Y-axsis. Now it looks like on preview.
  • Added optional single aiming circles.
  • Removed text in crosshairControls to avoid displaying additinal text on arty crosshair when using strategicCrosshair from another mod. I don't know how it will work with vanilla arty crosshair since i do not use.

I use dummy arty crosshair that looks like medium version of original, but when I try to change actionscript it doesn't work... I need to do that if I want proper text colors and two-digit reloading timer (red one). That why it isn't included, looking for more editable file.

Alright, definitely gonna check it out! Might want to use it in a future modpack.

Have you considered using the new .wotmod format for mods?

Any chance you could put this on the forum as a clean download without ALL the spam attached to it? My AV software shouts "DANGER<DANGER" every time I open it

Respect to ALL, Cheers :)

If there is need I could do that, no problem. Then I would need to think, if I want to make:

I. .wotmod packages for each swf file and script (most crosshair mods on russian sites)

II. three .wotmod packages, where 3 swf files put into one, controlsCrosshair in another and script in last

I could do that, but then people would need to log in to download. For now I will attach file, I personally don't like this option, for one it doesn't download file by its name.

Google drive (even with url shortener) shouldn't cause problems, idk bruh...

If ya know hosting service that within free membership doesn't delete file after month, ya are welcome.

You could also upload it to Curse (->https://worldoftanks.curseforge.com/ ), like I do (and J1mB0 did / still does for his other mods), though you would have another page before your download.

Are you still moderator there? Why it takes them so much time to approve the mod? I was waiting almost two weeks to approve my xvm config for 9.18...

Sorry for small offtopic.

Sorry for that; it was decided to delay approval of 9.18 files until after the EU/RU release of the patch (due to the unique case of having NA patch a week early).

Eh... Looks like there will be no strategic/arty crosshair for j1mb0 set. When I edit actionscript inside swf file for arcade, sniper there is no problem, but when I do that for arty everything in that crosshair besides ammo counter freezes for eternity while arcade works normally... I will try to look for another file, maybe those I took had some protection or were compiled that way to never edit again without source...

Edit: Looks like there will be progress regarding arty, I took another way of editing actionscript. Lets pray to RNGsus for good results.

Edit2: Last testings, looks good. Medium version of j1mb0 arty crosshair almost done and with it will be Lite. Full version will be done when I figure out how to make reloading bar work properly.

Unlike most arty crosshairs I will only leave shell travel time and splash circle, rest are in my opinion unnecessary, like gun values, target info (name, tank) and gun arcs (rly? Is it useful? maybe on low tiers where range may be limited).

Preview how arty crosshair looks like: Posted Image

It's medium version, lite version is the same but without grid, only full version needs to be made.

What ya can also see on screenshoot that I made myself: icons (based on j1mb0, but darkened), debugPanel (based on debugPanel by Maxim_77 + "my" clock).

Edit: Arty dots not seen because screenshoot taken at last second before returning to garage.

Edit2: Shell travel time has now two-digit number...

Let's start with good news, all arty crosshairs versions are finnished. In previous post was half-finnished medium/lite (without grid) version, here is full version: Posted Image

Only know problem would be that I do not know how ammo clip is placed after modifications since I do not have B-C 155 58.

Bad news would be that I decided to postpone releasing them since 9.19 will come this month.
