None of the ships in WoWs float? Wouldn't that make them all submarines? (or wrecks... )

There is a distinct difference between a boat and a ship.

I like that you finally agree with Jabster on something.

And yet the tier I Japanese vessel the Hashidate is described in game as a 'Light Patrol Gunboat.'

Not to mention ship's crews seem to survive somehow when any given ship sinks, so it would seem that the lifeboats float too.

Stick to land, Gerbil of Doom.

Erie also classed as a Gunboat, the general difference between a boat and a ship is the latter can carry a boat were the former cannot (though this is not necessarily true in the modern age).

It is a bit more than that, since even an inflatable raft can carry another inflatable raft. Heck, a human can carry an inflatable raft while swimming. Are men ships?

Regardless a gunboat is still a boat, and my point about the life rafts remains, even if they are not shown visually.

Inflatable rafts aren't really the same as a fishing or PT boat.

So now Fishing and PT boats are the only vessels that count as boats? Again, stick to land.

Considering Anime is Japanese for animation and nothing to do with Animation from Japan or of Japanese style, I'm pretty sure those definitions are incorrect.

And considering English isn't Japanese, it doesn't matter the slightest what the meaning in Japanese is, as the English definition of the word is Japanese style cartoons.

You are still wrong.

I never said they were the only vessels that were classed as boats.

English doesn't have to be Japanese at all. Anime is Japanese for Animation.

Which renders your statement that inflatable rafts are not fishing or PT boats pretty meaningless.

And yet in English, the language we happen to be communicating in, it is more specific :)

That is not entirely true tho. Anime is the abbreviated pronunciation of "animation" in Japanese, where this term references all animation as a whole and not just the connected to the "big eyed" animes or the otaku culture.

Both words, Anime or Animeshon, both mean the exact same thing, neither of which mean they come specifically from Japan.

Words "amazing" and "anime" don't belong in same sentence. I'll give you an example of words that do belong in same sentence as "anime": "disgusting", "stupid", "abominable" and "horrible".
