First thing that comes to mind is CPU overheating, but then file compression used by WG, while it puts massive strain on hdd/ssd/whatever storage you have, doesn't put (as much) CPU load to force thermal shutdown.

Other games run just fine?

Afaik, a decent motherboard should give off a beeping sound when a CPU is starting to overheat and throttle it if it continues (had that with my old motherboard from about 10 years ago). Automatic shutdown should be a last resort for a motherboard to avoid critical overheating.

Does it shutdown without displaying any sort of blue screen or error message?

If so, could you see if there's an error message listed at the time of shutdown in the windows event log? (Note: requires administrator rights to view)
