What are those characters in their team name? What does it translate to?

What language is this team name written? in disqualification language? :hiding::trollface:

Well, I'm just salty we lost 1200 or 1300 gold for illegal team name, so I'll be spreading the love during this summer.. Xd

Today on 2v2 very many illegal names already in top 16 (https://worldoftanks.eu/en/tournaments/5000001703/) Xd

Yes, I am aware of why you are doing it. Good that you have become a champion of name integrity. ;)

why not double check the tournament schedule before releasing -- now yet again 3 vs 3 has wrong time in anouncement.

probably because tier 7 and use old template or something .

How is possible u still keep making these errors in anouncing tournaments , for such long time period .

What the hell? Confirmed the team in last 15 seconds. My guy says: you didn't. I refresh and it didn't confirm even tho I got the message that everything is ok..

Edit: Oh, so it did confirm, but on the page it says it doesn't... hmm ok.?!

Two teams with illegal names in top 16. Cmon guys, let's all play by the rules...

Small rant: I just love it when you get outplayed by RNG... I've known some amazing Cromwell players in my day, but none that can peak and make a decisive 3/3/3 when needed and 10/7/5 overall. Last I remember my cromwell shot statistics look something like: 19/8/5 usually...

I wanna say that I actually appreciate these tournaments.
They have a multitude of tiers and formats. I wish some of the maps would get changed around a bit occasionally ( Mines is imba, north is better, Ruinberg north better too, Proho feels all round bad because of the hill on the east Xd ) but other than that  it's a nice way to get weekly gold.

Yet these tournaments often overlap with SH/CW and other clan activity times.. Maybe tournament players could also gain a few "boxes" or "influence points" for their clans? To excuse clan actions for an evening or two.!?

Hello guest273,

Thank you for your feedback, it is appreciated.

While we are on this topic, allow me to deliver here a more global status update on the tournaments.

First of all, it is my belief that the current situation is overall fairly good. Most of the technical issues identified since January have been corrected (wrong starting times / wrong prizes / tournament not starting etc.). Sure, there are still occasional technical failures, but they are getting rarer, especially considering that the amount of tournaments on offer has been greatly increased in 2019. Just a year ago, we were running 9 tournaments per week, none of them on the weekend. Today, we are running 28 tournaments per week, 7/7. On the topic of technical issues, I need to thank all of you for reporting them here, on this forum thread. It is very often how issues are identified in the first place. So thank you.

Recently, a survey we conducted about the tournaments showed that a majority of players are satisfied with the offer (71%), while a quarter of them are dissatisfied (23%) and a minority (6%) don't know.

We also found that the preferred tournament Tiers are 6, 10 and 8. The interest in other tiers was rather low. Tiers 4, 5 and 7 received some interest. The interest in having tournaments in other tiers was negligible.

As for formats, 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 were heavily favoured, in that order. The interest in having 5v5 competitions was surprisingly low, however, I believe this format is very important, as it is the most "competitive".

Lastly, we found that an overwhelming majority of the players favour tournaments starting from 17:00 to 21:00.

It is one of our goals to offer a variety of tiers and formats for our players to enjoy. And it is true that some of our tournaments overlap with other nice activities on World of Tanks, notably Clan activities. But when you run something 7/7, it cannot be avoided, it's going to overlap with something. And in a way, that is a good thing. It allows for more players, players who would otherwise not have a solid chance to win, to potentially take that top spot occasionally. The tournaments are meant to appeal to all. Sometimes you'll stumble upon formidable opponents, and sometimes, these opponents will be busy fighting with their clan on the global map, leaving more room for other players to shine.

This week a slightly new schedule is going to be implemented, and should last throughout summer. No major changes. A new 1v1 Tier V in during the week, a little bit more variety in the weekends.

Down the line you can expect a lot of qualitative improvements for the tournaments. :)

All that would be needed is bring back group stage gold and many more would join tournaments.

I can agree, I feel the same way!

Yeah, the tournaments aren't crashing and you can choose to play every day.

Recently, a survey we conducted

I wish I got the be a part of that survey... What people were chosen?

about the tournaments showed that a majority of players are satisfied with the offer (71%), while a quarter of them are dissatisfied (23%) and a minority (6%) don't know.

We also found that the preferred tournament Tiers are 6, 10 and 8. The interest in other tiers was rather low. Tiers 4, 5 and 7 received some interest. The interest in having tournaments in other tiers was negligible.

The time frame for tournaments is amazing. I agree that the more players the more competitive a tournament is in a sense, yet for 5v5 what often happens is - I take the 3v3 team and add 2 randoms from my friend list or a team that played 2v2..
If 5v5 is not as popular as you would like (there are also duplicate tier days - tier 6 and tier 10 happen twice a week), maybe you can experiment with different new formats, such as 4v4 tier 7 / 3v3 tier 4 / 2v2 Tier 5 etc. etc.

Side note: would be interesting to have tournaments for different prizes... for example a female crew member, or a tournament where the prize is free exp.

It is one of our goals to offer a variety of tiers and formats for our players to enjoy. Bonjour,

The interest in having 5v5 competitions was surprisingly low, however, I believe this format is very important, as it is the most "competitive".

My opinion in this matter is ;   allow a reserve player in the 5 vs 5  -- this format really cant function without this option .

I would also consider this option for the 3 vs 3 ,  it would make the format much more fail- proof .

Can somebody tell me why does the 3v3 tier 6 tournament doesn't work? It should start at 21:00 and it started at 19:00. We qualified but the play-off haven't came yet.

Hello Oliuz25,

thank you for reporting this. Indeed the tournaments yesterday experienced a critical failure. I am currently investigating. For now, these tournaments are cancelled and will be replayable next week.

then always yestarday, even 1v1 Tier VI tournament stopped at robin round, no playoff.

I guess there were some issues here too...

Hello Bonsy,

you are aboslutely right, all the tournaments yesterday were affected by an issue. None of them went beyond a couple of matches in the group stage. As a result there was no choice but to cancel them. The same tournaments will become available again next week on the same day.
