ITs been a while since I was in school and had a history lesson, but

Operation Overload was the D-Day landings right? so about 1944?

Lorraine 40t prototype and M56 Scorpion were early/mid 1950's tanks weren't they?

So I'm looking for a connection?

Short answer?

No.

Long answer?

No thanks, I'd rather stay at home & eat my own flesh:)

I'm afraid that historical accuracy has no place here.

:(

Haven't you all read about M56 Scorpions being dropped with parachute on D-Day? They were used by the famous Easy company to attack beach bunkers.

And Lorraine 40t (underwater version) was launched by the British submarines around Omaha beach, to clear both sea and landmines.

I like what I'm smoking :).

Was hoping for AMX 13 57, don't need anything else.....shame

Lorraine is the best investment of all these premium tanks though, just in case people are wondering.

Both the Panther 8,8 and Scorpion are completely underwhelming in the current game meta and balancing.

The Lorraine 40 t is one of my favorite tier 8 premiums. Heres my take on it.

I thought the unique Lorraine skin was only for the people (like myself) who bought it when it came out on the anniversary!?

someone in QA told that your mentioned AMX will never be sold again. Hope that someone was wrong. :(

I see those tier 7 auto loaders often wrecking something.

There were game tanks in theatre during D-Day, those french tanks captured & used by the wehrmachct such as the Pz.Kpfw. S35 739 (f) & Pz.Kpfw. B2 740 (f). Additionally in theatre were early versions of the cromwell (centaur), churchill tanks, Sherman tanks (inc Firefly), Pz mk IV, Panther & Tiger tanks, M3 Stuart, M10 TD, and probably a few more.

Something far more interesting and relevant could have been put together to give a historical flavour to the anniversary of D-Day and to commemorate the time when the struggle for europe in 1944 was at a critical moment.

WG have managed to put together some interesting information in the past, this time it seems somehow irrelevant and also, at least to me, irreverent.

And when WG says that something will never be sold again, then it won't. Except occasionally on April's Fool :).

It was Anton Pankov. The tank will probably sold in Christmas advent calendar, in a 50-40 EUR bundle obviously.

Yeah read that as well but since WG also said the Mutant 6 was never going to be sold again *AND* the E-25 was never going to be sold again I guess we know how much that statement is worth.

Good cause me WANTS it. Not that i play scout, but now that i start to really love auto loaders, its really good tier 7 autoloader... and i see them often wrecking something or being a major annoyance.
