This is no naming or shaming.

Only 14 XP difference but I would like to understand why he got more.

I have done no team damage!

He was obviously more useful then you, duh!

In reality, no clue. But he drove 1.14km in a Type 5.... That takes patience

judging by the 2 screens...........

the other guy may have done less damage, but they shot at a target more, as they fired more shots, and more shots hit the targets they fired at (that target, or targets, we wont know) and presumably, was in front of you, since they drove a larger distance

you did some ranged damage there, indicating you wernt very close to the enemy?

im not sure exactly on everything XP counts, but obviously the distance you were at, and the targets you shot at counted against you in XP...

but that's about as far as I can tell from these 2 screens :amazed:

You get an xp enhancement for being closer to the target. Perhaps he was closer? Not really sure.

This is the only explanation I can think of, although it's weird that that makes enough of a difference to come out ahead in XP with 0 damage/assist.

Maybe he also shot tier 10 opposition while Jay only shot lower tiers? Can't really know without watching a replay with free camera so you can see what happens.

Another question is who died first, you will gain a small XP gain the longer you are alive. So if you did 1500 dmg and died in the first 2-3 mins, the people alive would be gaining XP and could eventually over take you even if they did 0 damage. I believe this XP change was added to the game 2ish years ago, in a way to punish suicidal players and reward smart play!

Also, saying he had more distance clocked does not mean he was closer to the enemy than you. I could red line snipe and pushing my W and S key repeatably would still make me build up distance.

So that means if I get my Hellcat and do circles I ll get tons of exp? And if I drive my scout making zig-zags in my enemies I ll get tons of exp aswell?

He probably scored some critics on those 6 shots he fired.

This is the only way I can see him getting more xp than you. As long as you're alive you get % of xp from team doing stuff. Real strange one though, could you post a replay for us?

You could drive around spawn doing Feck all if you like, you will gain a small amount of exp, but only a % of what you could get. These changes were brought in years ago I can see if I can find the patch notes!

The booster will only show up in the 3rd detail tab, but only for the original player and no one else. The 2nd tab, team results, will only show the flat exp score and no booster exp!

Nope, you can only see your own and not on that results screen (but the detailed one).

In this case, I can only guess that although the other Type 5 had 0 dmg / assistance damage he was getting XP for the module HP damage he was doing (even though it led to no assistance). Likely he was repeatedly tracking a Maus at point blank (or something which I guess has pretty healthy track module HP). Comparing that to the OP's HP damage done, some of which was at over 300m (so probably shared with spotter) and poss. to tier 8's could, at the extremes, explain it I guess. I might be talking cobblers though.

Okay, well I can't find the notes, I will keep looking. I did find a note that crits will give you a small bonus as well(Damage is not always required). However what would help us would be posting a goddamn replay, you know!
