Usually, when you research a new vehicle you move the crew from the previous vehicle to the next vehicle i.e. crew from Emil I goes to Emil II then the Kranvagan. One does not forget how to do something in an "older model" when a new model comes out. I feel that a crew should be able to be returned to vehicles they previously served in.

I said exactly the same thing when I started playing. I think everyone would like it to work that way but the answer I got when I asked about it was, "yeah, it doesn't work like that".

Bof.

WG makes $$$$ when the crew forget how to use a tank they've previously trained in so I doubt they'll start remembering any time soon

So, 1, 9 skill crew capable of driving 10 tanks?

Good point malachi6. Would it help if tank specific proficiency would be made into a skill?

When your crews first skill Kv1-driving is complete it would be up to you if you want to go for repairs or Kv2 driving for second skill.

It's not exactly what you asked, but the reason why it works like the way it does is because of the income retraining and resetting skills with gold makes for wg. More crews = more spending. But then again with your proposed way the same gold might be spent training crews for the premium tanks as there wohld no longer be a reason for the not needing specific training for premiums.

Wow, nearly seven years and nobody thought of that!

Oh hang on, yes they did, hundreds of times.  I don't thin WG will change it.

Besides, if you specialise on a new piece of kit and don't keep yourself familiar with the old kit then yes, you will perform worse in the old kit you were once proficient on.  This of course does not apply to premium kit you may have never seen before. :child:

Been driving Mrs Gen's car all last week. This week back to my own and it feels wierd. Seems to me retrained crew not being able to perform at 100% in their old tank is realistic.
