If you decrease view range and increase camo ...

Almost all tanks have same view range against each other and scouts view r. worth the same as HT/MT's so they are not better in scouting...

But wait Achilles and Hellcat have more vr than most tier 6 lighs and better camo aswell...

The German ights are the only "true scouts" and maybe muricans from Tier 7

WEIRD.

Lights have it rough right now and it's because they've been badly designed more than anything else. Essentially to fix the issue you'll want to run the premium consumable (go figure) to boost your view range towards the cap before you can start to be more like the light tanks of old. Just remove it once you get there without it to save credits. I appreciate this is a crappy fix but that's what you have. Light tanks are even more reliant on skilled crews than they were before, and they're THE MOST RELIANT on crew skills of all that different tanks in the game - even before the nerf.

unfortunately this and the Renault UE 57  dont get to fight tier 5 tanks anymore.

so it's actually worse off now because there are no more slow big targets (kv-1) to shoot.

Oh that's right, I keep forgetting about that. Funny how some vehicles actually benefit from fighting higher tiers if they want to stretch their legs. :P
