SInce the micropatch my crews won't talk to me . Reinstalled sound card drivers, checked WOT install integrity , posted on the right bit of the forum with no replies ( Its dead down there) now I've resorted to posting on the wrong sub section in the hope some genius will point out my problem . I tried to test the voices and sixth sense in the sound menu but nothing.

Any help / advice/piss taking welcome

I'd try a piss/help combined: Did you turn the proper volume knob up?

Edit: For that matter, does "Test sounds" next to the voice selection do anything? Have you previously, or currently, installed any sound mods, or mods at all?

I only have one knob , its quite large and not easily missed. I have fiddled with it last night and still nothing , not even a groan .

Test sounds don't work and no mods apart from ..*whispers ...XVM.

Someone's going to say delete XVM aren't they .

I mean the in-game one, in the sound settings. There's a separate one for "Voice notifications", which I would guess is the right one. It could also be worth a shot to change the setting from "Commander" to "Standard" to see if that helps.

Tried every option in the sound menu...at least 20 times. Like a Monkey punching a button.

I'll delete XVM and the aimbot thing and try again ;)

I suspect reinstalling the game might be your best choice, unless this is a matter of bandwidth quota or principle.

Another solution if removing mods won't work could be to remove the folder/files containing the crew voices and references to them - and then run the integrity check again.

After a quick check, the files you're looking for are likely 'audioww.pkg' and 'voiceover.bnk'. Worst-case it's "only" ~700MB to download.

I think I had this after the micro-patch too - fiddled a bit with Sound settings (switched to Commander option, Test, switch back to Regional/Local, Test, Save Settings) while in-battle and crew sounds returned.
Also a note: I currently don't have any mods installed.
